I'm pretty sure this is for week day trainings. Same thing a couple weeks ago but there were no cancellations on the weekend.

In saying that, all the rain is yet to come.

Fuck this stupid game

yes a couple of weeks ago the rain stopped overnight and a few minor transfers occurred.

Hopefully I'm wrong but the weather map does not look so kind this time.

Shambles. Schedule games knowing there aren't any lights operational there. Good one.

Eastbourne now have 2 games to catch up on. That's going to be interesting, and a bit of a pain.

That'll save the Chicago lads from trying to scramble out to Petone for a 6 kick off - they won't mind

Can only go on what the sparkies tell you. If they say the lights are going to be working, what are you to do...?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Never trust a sparky!

Perhaps in hindsight, it would have been better to wait until they were working before scheduling games on the field?

Could this weeks postponed games not be moved to Te Whaea? Or Wakefield instead?

Two Games in Capital four kicking off at 7:40 at Wakefield on Monday 17 June and one at Petone at 8:15, which will not finish to around 10:00pm.... I understand the need to get maximum use from the Turfs but finishing a game at 10:00 means it will be getting on to 10:30 before you get away from the ground. Is it just me or is that farking stoopid?

Holy fuck, people having to stay up until 10:30?  On a school night?

Perhaps the football association assumed that most people playing adult football would be adults and would not be affected by curfews, or player's mothers making them miss the second half as they have a big day at work tomorrow and we all know how grumpy people get without sleep.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

starting at 8:15 is way tough, I assume cap footy would do the same at wakefield except for the lightsd out at 9:30 rule. Petone is lucky it's not surrounded by houses.

Sh!t weather for the whole week.  Looks like a whole heap of cancellations in the weekend I'm guessing.

is KP under water yet?

Parts of KP were under water yesterday at the peak of the rain but it has drained well today.

Remember that the big dramas at KP were three years ago. In both 2011 and 2012 CF

transferred games in to KP.

Some of us still wear gumboots to games there (old habits die hard).

We turned up to play there last year - and played under water. There's photos to prove it!

To be fair Nomad, there were puddles on grounds all over town that day and several games were called off.

My team played the 8:15 game.

While I agree the late kick-off is a joke, the most annoying thing about the whole situation is that Capital Football have decided its a good idea to try to make a bit of extra money by hiring out the warm up area! This means that teams playing in this fixture have nowhere to warm up before the game, because the previous game doesn't finish until 10min before kickoff.
This is just asking for injuries on a cold night!

No news on cancellations yet... be interesting to see if CF decide to cancel games or entire grades earlier in the day tomorrow or if they will wait until the evening as usual?

Can't really blame them if they cancel lots of games given the awful weather we've had this entire week.

Feel quite privileged to have played three games on the turf in the last couple of weeks.

Just checked the college sport website and only rugby has been cancelled. All football games are still on and that was updated just before 9am..

If that's anything to go by

I don't want cancellations.

Now it's stopped raining hopefully this wind will dry things out a bit.
