Someone told me Lower Hutt twice. But I'm not sure if that is fact.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Man you guys were a bit lucky. Leading 3 zip and letting us back in to 3-3 with plenty more chances for us. If we could line up a wall properly 3-3 would've been a great result for you.
Outstanding hat trick from our super sub striker @Ryan's Rovers, but just not enough. Gutted for us.

So NW play Well Utd next week?
Would a draw next week secure them 3rd spot and a playoff vs Wainuiomata?

NW have choked their way through the last few weeks.

Totally have to agree with Feverish........crap league.......rubbish

Haha, possibly a robbery but possibly a deserved one (if that's possible!).

There was definitely a momentum swing for at least 20 minutes during that second half where we had you under the pump and a couple more good chances went begging. I don't think we were far off getting that fourth ourselves and then things may have been different.

But hey, we couldn't nab it, and on balance for the whole game you were probably deserved winners as we weren't all that smart in the first half.

The ref wasn't calling offsides so we were naive for the first goal (which was offside).

The second goal was a smart finish from a free kick that shouldn't have been given in the first place, but again we were silly in not standing on the ball as you didn't ask for the 10 and just popped it into an open net.

Ah well, hopefully the boys will bank the lessons for next year.

I was pretty sure you guys had slipped the ref a bung until he gave one of your guys a ridiculous card in the last minute

Central League game between Petone and Lower Hutt was postponed because Lower Hutt had 3 players at the U20 World Cup - and then Petone asked to have the Capital 1 game postponed for fear of having to face a stacked Lower Hutt team in that division.

That's my understanding of the situtation at least.

so feverish if north wgtn lose to wgtn utd, and then finish between 4th and 6th spots,
they do not get a playoff with wainui? as wgtn utd, i bay or miramar would finish 3rd and cannot be promoted!north wgtn have to finish 3rd to be allowed a play-off!
i watched wainui the other week v stop out and they are not a bad side, on that performance would be good enough for them to stay up?
therefore petone replace wests only!
interesting as karori still got very good chance of winning 2!!

Petone lost to lower hutt 3 - 1 i believe. Karori were beating brooklyn 2 - 1 midway through the second half...goes down to petone's last game if the score stayed that way.

Cap 1 has been very interesting this year [but still a decent standard ]

Standards good when teams drop three central league players. Thank god Sutherland didn't have a great game - was a good hearted battle really. We could of been up three nil within ten minutes, but like our season it wasn't to be.

Reserve teams serve a purpose MB, granted they are a third team but the firsts and reserve teams had no game today. Mar dont have a lot to play for so obviously the three players were playing for game time. You can say its unfair all you like but that's what you're up against in a league like this.

Fuck this stupid game

Really? So risking your best striker when you're equal on points in CL is a good risk? He took a bad hit towards the end but shook it off - bet you they wouldn't have thought it such a smart move if he'd sprained an ankle or soemthing.

Very physical game at Kapiti today ended in a 1 all draw and both teams finishing with 10 men.
I think the ref administered 3 red cards to the same Kapiti player so it was an expensive game for him.

So was Lower Hutt stacked today? Bit of a surprise result and Petone are doing their best at letting the league slip.
I think that would be a pity as they are the best team I have come up against but guess they have no one to blame but themselves after such a great first round.
What a final game this weekend - the return match. Did they learn anything today?
