We could do anytime between seasons. How about before the season starts for next year?? You can organise it with NZ Yido.

Nighthawks playing Stokes Valley on Naenae 1 this weekend.

Bring your cricket gear boys, watch out for the block.

The slayers were up to there usual fine form last week. May be due to a 4.5ltr bottle of Jim Beam brought by our d.o.t.d.
Half the team drunk before the first whistle

Don't forget, full match reports and photos of all Slayers games at www.slayers.co.nz

I think we sobered up a bit by half time hense the 3-2 second half victory. Pity we were 0-7 down at half time lol

A not ententirely deserved 2-1 win over Stokes Valley for the Nighthawks today.  Three players turned up injured, already got four on the injured list and lost two more in the first half.

Could have been 3 or 4 but the balance of play possibly favoured Vegas.

Well last year you complained you were the first league cancelled, this year you get the last and as you have no ref's to cancel it for you. you will have fun if the river does not flood park

Well, out in this stunning weather, Nighthawks and North Wgtn Bombers had a good game. Nighthawks 3-1 I believe.

I think Seatoun won their game also, possibly 6-0? Can someone confirm?

The rain was off and on, was heavy for a bit and stopped for a bit too. So altogether not the worst conditions. Ground seemed OK too.

So does anyone have the inside running on whether Cap-16 will be the first grade to be cancelled this fine long weekend if there are any cancellations?

How? I play for the unicycles - there was a mixup (no one noticed that the field had been changed), we waited at Raroa till about 1 and then went home. So I'm not sure who you beat but I don't think it was us...

There wasn't a mixup.  2 - 0 is the score when a team doesn't show to the allocated ground.  The transfer info was on www.soccer.org.nz at 6:45pm last night.

Right - I thought it was 3-0 for a default and that you'd played someone. Yeah I meant a mixup within our team, we know it was our fault.

Thanks Slayers (and Cycles), makes our (not unexpected) 3-0 loss to Seatoun less damaging at the pointy end.  Big game Monday for us vs Petone in the race for second.

Followed by our central midfield shipping out for the World Cup.

No, we're just good.

7-0 Win today over Petone.  Probably a little harsh on Petone, both sides victims of mud in front of goal.

Good fun though.

HN mate, if you need a fill in due to world cup absentees I'd be keen.

We'll see how we go, got a couple of ex-Naenae players back around the club so will probably see if they want to fill in first.

Yeah good fun when your two 'strikers' up front look like two Props. Just missing a hooker to pack down a frontrow.

Struggling to get a team together.  World Cup and injuries seriously hampering me.

I wouldn't of thought a Cap 16 team would have players at a World Cup

Three for me, and two for them.

You can have some of our players we usually have about 18 every week.
