This sort of sh*t is really starting to cause problems. Clubs have colours for a reason. We played Wellington United and they turned up in a Argentina strip. Someone at Capital Football and the heiracy of the clubs needs to stop this happening before it gets even more out of hand.
Please.... ease back mate. No need for the nerd rage.

1) We - Wellington United - bring both strips (Oranj and Argies) to each game.

2) The boys (this is my first season) previously funded the strip on their own backs and it is a very quality strip good for away and/or colour clashing matches.

3) It's Cap16 ffs. Get your anal regulating arse out of our grade please.

I Have no problem if you bring two strips to the game. That is great. Would solve the problem if all teams did that.
The issue is turning up to a game in your normal colour and finding that the other team has the same colour. It shouldn't happen.

As for it being Capital 16. It doesn't matter what grade it is the simple fact is that each team plays in a different colour so you can distinguish each other. If I was in to regulating too much I would be worried about the colours of socks.

As for getting out of YOUR grade - you said it was your first season. Somehow I think our team has been around far longer than yours.

Mr Jolly, yes it is Hataitai and I'm sorry.

How bad can it be?  We played at Ben Burn on Saturday and apart from the Gale whistling through, we had to skate across an artificial cricket pitch.

Dont worry the Velodrome is bad, no doubt about it.
Pitch size would suit an eight a side kids match.
And the cycletrack makes a good job of funnelling all the rain into the centre of the pitch.

And a belated thanks to Naenae for their aftermatch hospitality, was much appreciated by the boys

Our =/= My.

And unless I missed the memo I would've assumed that Cap 16, the sixteenth grade in a sixteen grade competition, to have a fairly social, relaxed and fun outlook on such matters and would naturally smile while they pull on the odd t-shirt or flick the shirts inside out to get through the day.

I'm not saying it's not an inconvience or anything like that, but some perspective is necessary here: When half the teams are knocking back bevvys on the sideline is it really necessary pull in the "heiracy of the clubs" to "stop this happening before it gets even more out of hand" I wonder....?

I played Prez C (div 1-5 then prez a, b, c) in chch the last couple of years and believe me when it comes to social grade soccer Welly has it pretty damn sweet.

I thought we may have escaped comment on that one. I hear that Petone were 'absolutely dreadful'...not my words.

I can't play for them in goal again this week and given the lack of players available i would think luggsy's pick look pretty spot on

I missed that game, but i was not surprised.  After a miserable first four games of the season we have improved a lot.

I just assumed a team coming down from Cap 9 would have the wood on a team mid table in Cap 16

Got 2 results wrong - the olympic game which I picked a draw and the petone game.....not bad if I dont say so myself - massively out on the scorelines though

Some other teams must be missing too, there's only 13 in the table.

Noticed it earlier, but couldn't be bothered pointing it out.el grapadura2009-05-21 23:53:42

I see from that table all the Tawa results have been wiped.

It's as if they never existed...... spooky....

Kittenz are the only ones missing, having won 7 from 7 on 21.

Not sure what they are going to do with Tawa, it means those of us thaat have played them drop a game somewhere and those who haven't don't... weird situation.

Lost 2-1 to BNU, last kick of the game winner for them pretty much.
