Well played Naenae, and look forward to seeing you play in Cap Prem.  I watched two of your games this season, the 3-2 win over BNU at home and then yesterdays gritty 4-3 victory to seal the league title and promotion and was impressed with your constant attacking threats.

Great season and some crackers for Henders - thats quite a tally!  Hope you all had a top night!!

Thats a ridiculous number of goals! There wouldnt be many players in any league, right down to 14B, who've scored more than that. Quality

CAPITAL 1:
Waterside Karori      0    North Wellington     11

WTF?  Explain please...

I was there it was the most one sided game of all time, Karori had no shots in my memory, NW had at least 40 shots, 2 penalties (one miss one scored) oh and Karori went down a player about an hour into it for something, plus the weather was sh*te,I think it actually snowed up their in Porirua. Half time score was 5-0.

Easy explaination. North Wellington had to improve their goal difference to get ahead of Olympic.

Sit back now and listen of the Olympic moans.

A dog with a bone :)

embarrassing - yet funny looking at how they have jumped above the bubbles. We have been playing under 19s in the seconds.

Great for the teams who get to play Karori end of the season, getting to play against little boys. Of which we are one of the teams, yay :P

hardly. What is more of a disgrace - stacking your second team or giving young college talent a chance to play senior football?
11 is quite a few though to be fair.

That would be honorable if they weren't just there because you're short of players!

Well well well its obvious they don't have much talent then 11-0 and North Wgtn had a pen saved in the last minute otherwise it would have been 12. Why does Gill pick this team as well I mean he has stuff up the 1sts why let him shag the 2nds as well....And what was with the no subs ??
The committee has same questions to ask surely as this reflects real bad on the club

Greenie, are you still drunk?

Tell me now - who did you honroubly decide not to stack the team with, in favour of this recent yoof development policy?? As I recall, your first team was playing a must win game v Upper Hutt to climb out of the relegation zone in Cap Prem and the Dreamers (your thirds) need all men on deck for the fight to win Cap 2.

i think your reserves are still yet to play olympic. That could be interesting too

yes I am - but I was saying that other second teams are being slammed for stacking on this forum- yet we get slammed for giving some youngsters a run. We actually have talent in the rest of our 15 teams as well though actually - some nearly as good as you. Sounds like the momentous score was not helped bya few factors. One of the lads getting injured in college game directly before, another pulling the pin for some reason just before, one injured during the game, a red card, and for an unmotivated  team turning up to an unmowed paddock with no changing sheds didnt really help the cause.

Didn't NW also have to get changed outside and play on the same paddock though?

However good on you for sticking up for your players, nothing worse than young players getting sl*gged off by older players when the young guys haven't had 10 years of senior footy under their belts.

The short Asian chap up front was the only one that caught my eye in the Karori team. Actually the guy that got sent off wasn't too bad either. But in the end they were totally outclassed by NW, and their defence had more holes than swiss cheese.

Greenie, if (when) Waterside Karori are relegated from Capital 1 and if Waterside Karori Dreamers win Capital 2, will Dreamers go up & Reserves go down or stay as is?DKP222008-08-12 22:31:20

We had the same debate last season and the answer then was they didn't want to.  They don't train.  Perhaps they might be looking for a new challenge but they are all a year older ha ha so it might be beyond them.

And a cameo from a Div 8 Salmon-great to play again at long last

thanks Naenae-a clean game, but the "WHO WON THE LEAGUE" chants don't mean much when Oranje got up for the double over you.
i suppose WU just wanted/need the points more eh?

With just a hint of stacking in the team, thankfully the ground was the great leveller on the day, and I'll give myself a little pat on the back for a couple of good saves :P

What happened to BNU and North Wellington though?!

I dont really know the who's who in Welly yet, but the coach said 4 central leaguers. Including Raf who missed a glorious shot from 4 yards :P

lol the chants were more to keep us from killing ourselfs over such a poor effort, but yeah, wellington united wanted it more at the end of the day and for your guys information, joe still won't talk to me because I didn't pass him the ball 3 or 4 times which he wasn't happy about hahahahaha
