yep exactly....but for some reason teams always like to try to pin the blame on our miramar team....it takes both teams to get involved so i think you guys should stop bagging us and just move on....

yeah if there is something blatant, where you just go up to someone and smack them over then yes....but in the situation that was being talked about here, why would you hit someone and then press assault charges when they hit you back?  its pretty weak

Monkey (or baboon boy) needs to seriously get the chip off his shoulder, Miramar4eva is totally correct. Our Miramar team is always labelled unfairly. The ear biting incident did not happen, i was there and blown our of proportion. Ive seen, and have a knee injury to prove that dangerous tackles are made by our opposition teams! Mainly because they are losing at the time. Great game on the weekend, no pathetic whinging ... very close. One win each for the season.

yeah phil_style that was a good game, crazy first goal by us, dont think ive seen an unluckier own goal than that.....

If Monkey boy was playing i'm sure "shirt pulling" would be considered to be "a swinging arm, punching the opposition player then biting the player on the leg"...

Playing IB Massey, Miramar and the Cavaliers will decide the season for us I reckon. No offence to MonkeyBoy but I would be very disappointed if we didn't beat Naenae in light of our recent form.

We beat the Cavs 2-0 first time around, then got beaten by the same score (I think) second round. They came up with us from Div 6 last year, played them 4 times in two seasons so I can vouch they are a quality outfit. They've got the best structure in the league if you ask me. Ok mate, so you think after he had seen what he did to the guy ( regardless of wether he threw the first punch or not ) the right thing to do was jump in his car and drive off?? Once again, that guy was nothing but a coward when he did that, takes a really big man to jump in his car when the guy could of been seriously injured ffs. As a young fella then I really thought that was an absolutely cowardly thing and still do.

As for the ear biting incident? Didn't happen?? The bleeding Sudanese guys ear I bandaged up begged to differ!

Enough ranting though, the league is closely fought out, I've played mainly Capital 1 this year but coming down to this grade its good to see some nice football still being played, all the matches I've been involved with have been closely contested.

Yup cavs centre midfield is a good ball player and strong, but not very fast or fit, keep someone tight on him who will niggle him and he will give the ball away.

The two goals vs us were nothing special, first was down to a defensive error by our CB and second well, last play of the game, deflected off the guys leg into the goal. Played sweeper for the first time in a while, got MOM so can't have done too badly. Not sure how many more of you boys I'll get to play, I play between our two teams as needed where I'm needed, don't care as long as I get to play some footy!!

 He just got smacked in the head, no ear biting, after your boy threw the first and funniest haymaker i've seen at my team mate who had enough time to duck out of the way...he started it!!

Monkey, I was the guy that your Sudanese boy tried to smash last year for no reason.  He came running at me after I tackled him, and threw a massive haymaker that he wound up for about 5 seconds on - I ducked it and rolled backwards onto the ground and then another guy in our team came running in and smashed him in the side of his head.

He threw the first punch, so he can't complain that he got something dished back.  He just got hit in the side of the head really hard, there wasn't any biting going on.  It probably felt like someone bit him because the punch was so hard.

Glad this has dragged you all in, feel free to dive in to the Phoenix side of the forums and join your team mates and rivals at the games.  At this point further discussion on the subject of what may have happened a year or so ago will be stopped and any further posts deleted.

As for the person who posted the character assassination on this forum, you are on a warning.  Another post like that and you will be hit with the banstick... and now I have a second nomination, I suspect from the same team.

Forza Naenae, Forza Miramar, Forza University and Forza anyone else in Capital 5.

I have no problem with people discussing Capital 5 and in the early pages of this thread it was all good.

However there were some posts in here that were offensive and unacceptable and had to be deleted.  The best way to resolve that is for us to stop discussion of the incident in question and get on with discussing the current season.

If I didn't make that clear sorry.  Discussion on Capital Five is welcome, discussion on a punch thrown years ago in another division is actively discouraged.

It can be hard to get a consistent squad together at this level. I guess the teams that have the depth to have players away and still compete are the sides that will do well. Mind you, it ain't easy when you get 5-6 away some weeks.

I'm looking forward to our next derby fixture (Massey vs United). Think both sides had a number of players away last time so will be good to play with full compliments :-)

yeam am definitly looking forward to our next clash and you should wear a yellow headband so I can spot ya on the filed or summin! but who knows maybe the weather gods will save you're lot . . .
