Yeah brain explosions from the olympic squad saw them shoot themselves in the foot early on by conceding 3 goals in the first 10 and go one man down.

Id pretty much go along with what Hard News said, but Uncle Steve's not wrong either.

Good composure from our lads to keep playing when they stormed back.  In the end we were good for it but they had a stack of chances and could have gone differently if they'd had a full team.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Wow what a thriller at Newtown park todays ladies and gentle man. 3 penalties, 2 of which were missed, 7 goals. Po po.

United go up 2 0 in the early stages after a olympic missed peno, put in another on the other side of the half, only to lose out to 4 unanswered goals by olympic.

Awesome game.

Good work them rolling Petone Feverish, wanna walk us through that one?

Marist and Nth Welly a 1 all draw... probly fair result, Marist was missing arguably a key player in the midfield. That affected us big time.

And just to annoy my striker who reads this, man that one on one save was good

Dreamers stuck at their knitting very well.  We kept equalising and they kept going ahead.

A disappointing one to lose for us but all credit to them they earned every bit of it.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

only saw about ten minutes. Dreamers still got quite a few out broken, but this week had the goal scoring machine that is Brodie Wilson back in (although half broken), and Liam Dunbar who apparently had a top game

WU vs Olympic. Great tense game.  New legitimate tactic was endorsed by ref.  It appears legal for a striker to stand over a prone keeper with feet planted either side pinning keeper to the ground and when keeper gets up fall to the ground and get awarded a penalty.  Only saving grace was that striker landed on head so there was no chance of damage or injury there! Penalty calmly slotted.  Oh well one out of three attempts was not too bad with first one saved and third one missed..lol...
Give credit when due tho United tired too much at end of game while greeks stepped up.

Marist 3 nill over Petone

An all in brawl at about 70 mins, and ref doesnt even book anyone... I mean I've got my ref credentials, but wtf mate. If your not gonna send anyone off, you are going to have to shoot someone, and I mean from both sides, we were arguably at fault.

2 goals in last 5 mins to wrap it up, I stood round in goal, coughing up my lung and being decidely rubbish. Stupid cold!

Also - all round set of upsets

SV over Olympic
WU drew with NW
and Karori drawing with BNU

Good news for Marist all round

yeah Karori had the better of BNU but could have gone either way. Their keeper pulled of a few saves, and the Hermanator pulled off a goodie too. I got booked when I was having banter with someone on the sideline and the ref thought I was speaking about him which I still cant comprehend (a bit dark about it). He let them get away with far too much in my book.
Anywho - how did Olympic lose? And to Stokes Vegas? wtf

Marist were very good yesterday.  We pushed them as hard as we could and they nicked a couple in the last five minutes but they are certainly the best side across the park that I've seen so far in this league.  Teams will find them very hard to beat at home I reckon.

edit - forgot which day it was.

Watched the Stokes Valley vs Olympic game, Olympic were average at best - if it wasnt for stokes valley trying to run the ball in, rather than shoot it could have been more - however the winning goal was from a penalty and Olympic did have goal disallowed for a foul on the keeper.

Olympic 0 Wainui 1

0 - 0 at half time with Wainui down to 10 men. I think Olympic got 1 sent off in the 2nd half to even it up.

A dog with a bone :)

I cant believe Bubbles are losing games in this grade.
Dreamers comfortable enough over Stokes Vegas. 4-2. Buckle with a header and Abes with a ripper from outside the box.
