I think you are right about if he's given a penalty he has deemed it a deliberate handball. Not all deliberate handball's in the box will get a red card though - in fact sometimes there's a deliberate handball in the box that doesn't even warrant a yellow because it may have been unintentional. If there is intent then a deliberate handball is always a yellow IMO (in the box or not). And if is a blatant denial of a goal it's a straight red.I know that sounds Irish but a deliberate handball can be unintentional; remember deliberate is all about the movement of the hand/arm toward the ball (or not moving your arm away from its 'natural position' when you could have). I didn't see the game, but if the player moved his hand to protect his face it's not even a free kick. I've seen refs interpret things differently though and it can be a bit subtle in truth. What if the player protects his face, but intentionally directs the ball away from the goal at the same time?? That is actually a penalty and a red card.

.) If your don't like Olympic or any other Club for that matter it is perfectly ok..it is your right to have an opinion and also to have the freedom of speach to say so. However the minute you start becoming racist and use racing comments then that is NOT OK . In making these comments hiding behind your "username" that makes me even more determined to find out as to who you are, NOT to punish you but to welcome you in "our culture and to our club" so you can see and possibly learn something for the first time in your life.
