What happened to Wests and Lower Hutt talking up letting the team's survive on their own ? Quotes like 'if they're not good enough we can't justify them staying there' have been heard, yet both clubs stacking Champs Prem sides yet again.

Is there any list on the top goal scorers for the prem league?

Could people feom their respective clubs give approximate totals for their top goal scorers?

Le Prou, Henders, Sutherland, Withers, Raemaekers, Hill

Who is topping the list?
Upper Hutt = Le Prou 9, Bennett and Burling 8 each, as at 5.7.09

Two each yesterday (contrary to the CF website), so now Withers 13, Ramaekers 12

Who played for Lower Hutt yesterday? They didnt help them whoever they were, they had a better result last week (a narrow lost) by bringing in 3rd team players

Miguel Baladares, Hamish Watson and Mike Madden were playing for Lower Hutt don't know if they are 1st teamers at the moment or in the second team. Two of them had quite good games the other did nothing and didn't seem interested at all. Only 1 nil at half time to Tawa. But could have been more. Overall Tawa dominated the game, but Lower Hutt played some nice stuff and had a couple of chances in the first half until they went down 2 nil and dropped their heads. Their young lad in goal had a good game and got man of the match. It will be an interesting match next week between them and Naenae. If Lower Hutt lose you would have to say its goodnight nurse to them. They would be 6 points behind with 4 games left (too much I would think).

Wests (Smith,Cheriton,Ryan etc) beat Miramar 2-1

Rup Ryan has been playing second team and Birch back from injury. In Saying that Ryan was the difference yesterday with his class up front. The Mar should have had 3 in the first half and blew a 1-0 half time lead. Great game to play in and also watch I was told. The Surface was the best. Tawa can go to CL so I dont have to play in that pond again.

Madden is the only 1st team player out of those 3 and he didnt play 1st team the week before as he was sick.
Hard News should be able to name the ones that were dropped though as he's the one they said they dropped players.

Miramar smoked Kapiti 4 nil. Player to note was substitute James Derbyshire getting his Rangers wings. Looked tidy but was probably a bit nervous coming on in such a big game.

Well if he turns up to training this week he might get a start for the 2nds if he shows a good attitude.

So after the league being wide open a few weeks ago looks like the title is Tawa's to lose now.  Only Island Bay and Karori have a realistic chance of catching Tawa.

If Tawa can muster 2 wins and a draw from their last 4 games, that would knock Island Bay out as Island Bay could only come level and Tawa's goal difference is far superior.  That would only leave Karori who would need 5 out of 6 wins to draw level, but again Karori's goal difference would most likely be worse unless they can manage some big wins.  So Karori would probably need 5 wins and a draw.

Games to play:
Tawa: Wests, Kapiti, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt
Karori: Kapiti, Upper Hutt, Island Bay, Stop Out, Naenae, Stop Out
Island Bay: Naenae, Miramar, Karori.

Tawa 4  v Stop Out 1.

That Onepoto is a great ground isn't it.....    ????    Simply awful.

Stop Out... well we 'sort of' stopped playing... it was awful. Even my optimism (sure we can get three goals in two minutes..) started to fade.

Made worse by me tripping over the bags and NOT being able to get up. What was that about??

Comedy moment: Tawa fan yelling "eight you're an idiot, eight you're an idiot....    I mean five".

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Tawa Champs, Lower Hutt last, and Wests, Naenae to battle out the playoff spot. KCU could get dragged into it as they have a fairly tough run in.   The rest are playing for fun.

Ahhhh Mr News it seems you never really did answer nights questions?
Sounds to me like a quote that may have come out of my mouth that you were refering to.
So speak up News, tell us all who lower hutt have been dropping to their reserve team to "stack" it?
If lower hutt wanted to stack their reserve team to keep it up then thats exactly what would have happened and they wouldn still be down the bottom and they certianly wouldnt have lost last weekend to naenae as that would have been the logical game to target.
You definitly havent seen any stacking of the reserve team just yet from lower hutt, but if you do, you will definitly notice.

Not getting to many games I was  surprised when I went to teh Tawa and Stop Out game. It was my first time to Onepoto. The pitch was terrible. I have a question for Tawa as the home team. When you knew that the game was going to Onpeoto did you try and get it moved to something better?

Good game wasn't it turkiye. Um I play for Tawa and we were told the night before that we wouldn't be playing at Redwood Park (our normal home ground) as the pitch has been a mess for about a month or so now and Kura St where our so called second home ground would be is also a complete mess so we were told we would be transferred Saturday morning. Capital soccer obviously choose Onepoto, but to say it was terrible I don't think thats fair because it wasn't flooded or swampy. Yes it may have been a little bobly and mud stuck to your boots but definately playable and could play football on the pitch. To be honest I would rather our next home game be there than Redwood or Kura

Agree - Onepoto wasn't Wembley, but it was better than either Redwood or Kura

Who did play against island bay news, its your story.
If your refering to pedro garcias then yes he did play in a 3-2 loss against island bay, but thats what happens when your a 1st team player who has a injury leading up to a big game, most clubs would probably think it is logical to see where he is at by playing him in the reserve team. Would hardly refer to that as "stacking", then again that might be tuff if your reserve team was in capital 5 haha.
Jokes news that was un called for.
