Wests going better with College players back.  Might be closer.

Wharfies to edge Tawa.

KCU to beat Naenae.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

upper hutt will never beat wests by that much. wests get better every week. Stop Out and IBU to draw, miramar 3-1 over LH, Karori to win by one, and Naenae to win by one.

Can't understand why everyone's picking Wharfies or the draw against Tawa.  Tawa to win tomorrow, which'll put them back in the box seat to win the league.

In the cup you did, but what was the score when you played them at Redwood in the 3rd round?

Well, we do have nice clubrooms that offer a hearty fare.

Although to his credit, he only had a Coke and a few crisps at Endeavour last week.

No, playing at 14:30 so my body is a temple... until 16:45.

Usual lift for Max and Wilso is down and out, so I'm going to pick them up and catch the first half (and maybe some of the second) of the Red Mistathon.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Tawa beat Karori 2-1, I hear that Island Bay beat Stop Out.

Tawa went down one nil halfway through 2nd half. Tawa fought back well and got 2 goals in the last 15mins. Both teams had their chances and either could have won the match.

On a side note, Karori's clubrooms were terrible. While they look very nice and have a great view, there was no food at all (not even the expensive cafe food this week), and the drinks were terribly overpriced. 1 beer for $6 or 2 for $10. It's a clubrooms not a profit making Wellington City bar. There should be pies, chips and reasonably priced beer. Not surprising that there very few people there (how many teams do karori have!)Oranje2009-06-20 17:30:14

I heard feverish saw red for a malicious elbow after being on the field for only 5 minutes.  Is that some kind of record??

we have gone from everything to nothing due to our cafe operators moving out. Therefore transition mode for a couple of weeks. Got a thrid party serving some beers til it is sorted.
We also only had one early game and one late game there so not many bods.
Apologies though.

I'm confused, are you asking if 5 minutes is the longest he's stayed on the pitch?

Tawa game - "both teams had there chances" what game were you watching mate. Tawa should have been up about 3 nil at half time and thats an understatement. Yes Tawa might have been poor for 30 minutes of the second half but definately deserved the 3 points. I know the Karori coach won't agree though. It seems that they are always the better team in his eyes.

I was going to mention about the clubrooms as well!!! But as you already stole my thunder and we have had an explanation I will leave as is. Certainly not best clubrooms in Wellington though after the discussions a few months back!!!

dont know whose quote that is (and it's 'their') but they certainly did. Karori had the ball in the back of the net two or three times, which were disallowed by the numpty ref

I did miss the first 20 minutes and I hear that Tawa dominated during that period.  From the 20th to 35th minute of the 1st half Tawa dominated and should have scored 2 or 3.  Karori dominated the last 10 minutes of the 1st half and could have scored a couple.  2nd half Karori were definitely the better team until they scored.  Karori could have scored a couple of goals. After Karori scored, Tawa dominated the match, scored 2 and should have scored a couple more.

All up, Tawa had more chances from what I saw and what I heard.  But both teams did have their chances and the result could have gone either way.  You are right about Karori's coach.  He also doesn't seem to like giving player of the day's when he loses

what is the rule if mirimar win the league, does the 2nd place team enter the playoffs?  A lot of people joked at the beginning of the season that Tawa would be bridesmaids again, only this time the bridesmaid will probably be enough...  Regardless, still a lot of the season left and tawa have shown so far they do throw away points...  If one of the other 3 tems gets on a roll it will be tight as a lions arsehole...
Karori clubrooms were pretty empty a few weeks back, grea facilities though, warm and you can't say that about most clubrooms in Wgtn.

I was looking round the other week, and couldnt work out the scenario - but if its anything like promo from Cap 1 to Prem - then no one would get a play off (except the Central regn team)

Wests Reserves have a new, and very good, goalkeeper.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
