Thats a huge turnaround for KCU, what happened?
The other Easthope must've got them organised and playing with some structure.

Wharf got taken down at Farringtown. Got out-Crumped - nice finish from Rup. Mar had ten men for most of the game, and although they didnt have much of the possession, they had about an equal amount of chances.
oh and a shty back pass oggy from us

i think by looking at that table naenae and kcu ahould rerally watch out. when will lower hutt and wests start to drop players down? Shows the lack of depth at those two clubs with their second teams struggling! On the other side of the coin the Mar ressies are going great guns, must have heaps of depth?

I don't think it shows the lack of depth at Wests and Lower Hutt.  At the end of the day they are playing against first teams and most first teams in cap premier should be able to beat 2nd teams.  Lower Hutt and Miramar only been in this grade for 2-3 years, wests a bit longer.  Fully agree though that Miramar's 2nds are going well, shows the depth in that club.

Naenae are definitely in trouble.  KCU I don't think should be too concerned at the moment.  They have a bit of a lead on the bottom two and they have picked up 7 points in their last 3 games so looks like they are finding some form

Aren't Mar 3rd team also winning their league?

Last weekend (bit late).
Andy Le Prou scores three????   Thanks to my friend who told me , two weeks ago, that Andy had an ankle injury and might not play again this season.  Why ddi I listen to that? Where does he get such MISINFORMATION from?

KCU - Stop Out.    Ouch! The longer it went on the more our football went astray. The gulf between the quality of footballl for our goal and their second was L A R G E!!!

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

We are at the halfway point for most teams...Tawa to win the league this year....or will it be another 2nd.... Karori or Stop Out to bounce back from the weekend and end up taking it....or will Mar reseves surprise everyone...i think the next couple of weeks may decide it....plenty of rounds left....thoughts on who will win the league this year everyone???

tawa and karori looking pretty good, but to many shock results going on, thus Mar, Stop Out and Island Bay are still in it... this will probably go to the wire...

What makes you think Le Prou info was misinfo - Andy would be better than most with no legs, and some oppositions seem all too determined to check that out!

tbh i thought le prou was pretty ineffective in our game versus upper hutt, he got subbed off in the second half as well, definitely much better strikers in the league, maybe he was just having an off game though.

I rate Le Prou, he's quick the mark, solid off both fee and doesnt mind a bit of the rough stuff. I get the feeling all the Upper Hutt boys are enjoying their football and for the most part their a side all in their mid-20s. This bodes well for Upper Hutt as a club.

I rate Lol as well, the maddest haircut in Wellington football. Period.

Andy's not 100%.
He's probably not hungry enough & certainly not as fit as he was at his best, but he's an excellent footballer & a good lad.

My only hope, he gets his injury sorted so it doesn't affect him in 15 - 20 years time.  It's not worth it.

Has anyone got any comment on any game that was played this weekend? Big news the mar going top of the league! i would also like to know about the stop out upper hutt, sounded like a cracker! Was KCU season revival premature after getting turned over by the wests under 12's? and IB struggling to get past lower hutt ressies, what happened?

So many questions???

Can tell you about one game.

Lower Hutt Ressies Vs Island Bay.
One all at halftime after a early lower hutt goal against the run of play, was then cancelled out by a crap piece of defending and a ball that clearly went out for a goal kick which was called play on, then cut back  for the equaliser.  Second half was more of the same, momentum was swinging constantly for both sides. Lower Hutt went up 2-1 after some good work from pedro garcias who cooly cut back instead of shooting for hamish price to lace home the go ahead. From there on out Island bay were making most of the play and created more chances which they ended up scoring a good second goal from, after a good ball was played in behind the defence for their substitute striker to finish verywell and equalise again.
The turning point in the game came probably 10 minutes later when a Lower Hutt centre back was booked for a second time for a rather silly foul which happened after the ball had gone out of play, to be fair the Island Bay striker made abit of a meal of it though.
Island Bay then made thier advantage count with a cross to the back post which found an unmarked Ian Patterson who also finshed very well, 3-2 Island Bay.
Lower Hutt created a couple of late chances to equalise but couldnt finsh aswell as Island Bay had earlier. Game Finshed 3-2 Island Bay which at the end of the day was probably a fair result.
Pedro Garcias dropping down from the 1st team definitly helped us play a little better this week but the rest of the players who were reserve team players who played definitly had an improved performance.
Onwards and upwardds hopefully!

If your lads continue to play like that for the rest of the season, you have a fantastic chance of staying up. Was a fantastic game, both teams really wanting it. All the best for the remainder of the season.

Bet you wouldn't of said that if they had beaten you.  You'd be complaining how LH had dropped Pedro to strengthen their team.  Funny what a win will do to cloud the judgement.
After Tawa had spanked you 8 - 1 I didn't hear anything about saying what a fantastic team they were.

me is thinking the scoreline spoke for itself, if it was me, i wouldn't want to associate myself with such a scoreline, let alone compliment tawa on how embarrassing they made them look! as for tawa on the day, well, as i just said 8-1 .

Not sure youll beat the 1st good team youve played in the cup and make it
to the next round that goes national.
