Lower hutt had 3 first teamers playing in div 3 today too. The 400 games guy scored their goal, ended 1 all. Not complaining or anything, just saying every1 is doing it

Fuck this stupid game

I enjoyed it.  Why are you playing on the right when your left foot is clearly the better of your two...?

I think we've been either up or down for the last 4 years....

the sad thing is the two teams who came up last year 1 and 2 from capital 1 ended up 2nd last and last on the Premier ladder....and I just don't think that reflects the season.

Could be that Miramar come down with us, but with them not having dropped players during this season (ignoring the play-off), I hope they stay up

it will be a hard game against olympic first team next week in the playoff...there 1st team coach admiting yesterday after the Miramar game that that is what the have been planning for 3 weeks now.Miramar will not be dropping a whole team to play but players who have played 3 or more games in cp this year.

I'm not wanting to stir here, but surely Olympic can't be happy with their season. I mean sure you may get a team promoted, through dropping a few players (who you really never needed to drop to come second in the league). And sure Mirimar may or may not stack their team in the playoff, so you dropping players is fair enough.

But your Central league campaign was abysmal, I mean the only team to concede more goals then you were Stop Out.

Yay for getting stronger players into the club through having a team in Central and Cap Prem... but will you really?

Lower Hutt, Mirimar and Wests seemed incapable of it until they dropped a few players down.

Frankly I'd be very very gutted with the first teams performance, given the players and ability they have

Few: (adjective) not many but more than one.

I question your use of the word.

on Saturday 3 Olympic 1st teamers played for the 3rds. Put them in with the 6 who are already regraded the team for the playoff is now up to 9 CL players. Then I assume another 3 can be regraded on the day- making 12. Shows a tremendous amount of faith in the ability of the rezzies.

Players can not be regraded down into a play-off match. Hence the players were dropped into their 3rd team so they could be promoted "up" into the 2nd team.

I believe that the 3 players mentioned that played for the 3rds actually all played for the 2nds the week before with some of them for a few weeks before then as well so it obviously has nothing to do with regarding then does it because they are already graded as cap 1 players. Interesting how all the CL teams where dropping players left right and centre so as not to get relegated and the Os have done it to get promoted isnt it the same? see all the goal scorers for the Hutt in the weekend? Mar to there credit won the CL league weeks ago as has been mentioned before whats the dif with coming 3rd or 8th if as a club you could get other rewards for the season? Teams have been doing it for years. Wests did it to get promoted the mar did it last year.

i wont disagree apart from I dont buy in that Mar bolstered their team last yr to get promo. They had the same 35 yrs olds at the end as the start

All this proves is that the Bubbles have been dropping players for the last few weeks, not just last weekend...

You really are a newbie, Wests have been getting stick on here for months for dropping several CL players to save their reserves. Just ask Bob.

I do agree with your point about the other clubs though, I think Olympic, Wests and Lower Hutt are all as bad as each other. The only ones to come out of this with any respect are the Mar

I just think my piece I already said stands relevant, all the CL teams, want a team in the Premier graqde, yet can't actually maintain it without dropping players. So dropping players to get promoted, only to them have to drop them to stay in the league. A sad and tragic cycle

The mar are going to have to drop some players down to compete with olympic. But by all accounts the players that will drop down have already played a handful of games earlier on in the season. So if the mar get the win full credit to them. I think after the season thats been they can be quite happy to survive.

I cant stand the fact that clubs are bending the rules to the max. if wests hadnt started it we wouldnt have this problem, it just shows lack of depth....just like olympic also dropping players to get promoted!!

That is absolutely false... Miramar didn't drop any players last year to achieve promotion. There was some toing and froing between the 1sts and 2nds based on form (like any season) but it is nothing like Olympic, Wests and the Hutt have been doing this year.

The team Olympic put out against the Rangers on Saturday was a joke and an embarassment to the central league. It is fine to play a few youngsters when you aren't in with a chance of winning the league but to bring on old, slow and fat guys from the social leagues was disrespectful. If Olympic do get promoted to Capital Premier they will get smashed and come straight back down as they won't be able to sustain two teams at that level.

will they be able to afford to fund two teams???? Thats the only reason they get new players

Its not bending the rules, it just following the rules that in in place.

Now, go back abit to the start of the season. The clubs you are moaning about have players out of their squads playing for Team Wellington. That means that they are having to move players up grades to fill in. This will obviously weeken their 2nd teams and in many cases their 3rds. Nobody complains about playing against these weekened teams, they just take the points and be happy.

Yes, I know some teams you are going to come up against at the end of the season are loaded with CL players but untill Capital Football come up with some workable rules nothing is going to change. Get your club chairman to write to Capital Football with some workable solutions or you are going to have the same things happening again next year. If you cant be arsed than stop complaining.
