Saturday or Sunday I wonder? Sunday would be best as kids play Saturday morning and I'd like to take my young fella down.

This is going to be an awesome day for Central Football. I'd say people will travel from across the region and will be a big crowd.

Fuck this stupid game

That is some comparison. Fiji B have knocked over some big teams there, and almost always away.

Don't you mean Manawatu B. Heaps of current and ex Manawatu players in Wairarapa's line up. Hope the game is at Memorial Park. I'll definitely be there.

Lets be fair, it's definitely Manawatu 'A'

Not so convinced. Likely from the two teams, but most others won't care enough to travel.

I know a few who are planning on travelling from Gisborne, The Bay (obviously), and quite a few from Welly as well. Most have affiliations though but the travel doesn't seam to be an issue for those interested. Palmy perfect for it IMO.

Also the fact a lot of leagues are finished helps.TopLeft072011-08-16 17:04:15

I'm a Hamiltonian and my dad used to play for NCR, was hoping for a Bay Olympic v NCR final, Palmy's prob gonna be a bit too far for me. Doubt many will travel too far, especially if televised

Excellent Capital Football, courteous and efficient; but the site(s) are a random collection of out of date info.

That really wasn't your original point, however your praise is accepted.
How about this thread is left for the Chatham Cup and not Capital Footbal's website.
Thanks

Thought one of the main reasons they chose Memorial Park was because it has broadcast facilities.

That and FMG is a RWC venue s it was taken!

Confused now....

It was supposed to be on Sky and there was a window for it, but it was postponed for some reason, and when rescheduled a week later Sky could no longer broadcast it for whatever reason

Since when SkyTV was ever flexible enough for kiwi football?? If it was Fugby, they would have follow the reschedule fixture in a short time, wouldn't they?AllWhitebelievr2011-08-19 17:17:13

That time slot has ITM Cup (2.30), Athletics World Champs and Toyota Cup League all live. In fact, every proper sports channel has live sports coverage then. Maybe they'll can the Highlights channel for 2 hours for us.Toffeeman2011-08-24 10:35:21

I'm sure it's been said before but it is good to see Hastings leading Napier to the finals.

So who's confirmed as going to the final? I'll be there. Theres apparently multiple busloads of supporters coming from Napier and Masterton as well as Palmy locals. Should be a great atmosphere.
