What drugs were you smoking?

Olympic 1-0 up after 10ish. Screamer to equalize from Tawa.

Not the best performance by our boys, but we got the job done and with a bit of style towards the end of the second half.

Jimmy's finish to put us 2 clear was quality, with a Messi like chip over the charging keeper.

And the highlight was again Jimmy taking a throw in off a Tawa players back or shoulder.

1 down 6 to go.

Haha probably footballs best kept secret, and my signature move. Why throw to another player and play for a 50/50 when you can go for a close range rebound off an unsuspecting opposition player and retain possession?

loving how the olympic faithful only piped up when there team was winning rest of the game was spent moaning and bitching about how cold it was in the newtown stands ... what a malaka the olympic coach was when they finally got the 2nd and 3rd goals turning around and gesturing at the tawa supporters.. mate not our fault your team was playing so awful.

olympic played awful... but tawa didn't have enough in the attacking 3rd and a couple of defensive lapses cost them in the end

good to see trophy on display and all - can only hope it stays in wellington.

My" boy" at the end of the day the scoreline reads Oly 3 Tawa 1 ..contructive critisism is always welcomed and very much part of our philosophy ..however idiotic and ill directed comments can only be contributed by someone used to the "bogan culture" and I would really like to believe that you are not .....

no idiotic or ill directed comments here... just telling it how I saw it... unless your too one eyed to agree.
no disputing the scoreline at the end of the day olympic is a far better team - who played poorly.

maybe a nuetral could comment on what was seen

Oly definately played below par in this game...its a possibly  a sign of a great team that they can  play poorly and still win the game....its the "m*****" comment that I do not appreciate being used ...
As for the game it was one of them typical Cup games ... lots of passion from both sides and lots of pride ...... it looks like that the Tawa guys learned their lesson from two weeks ago.... and hopefully they will learn from yesterday's game as welll...

Both coaches were guilty of rarking up the crowd after respective goals. As for the game, Olympic didn't play well but were still good enough to win. Tawa got on top for 20 minutes, got a goal, but couldn't do anything more than that.

I cant see anything wrong with a coach having a bit of fun with the oppo supporters if they have been vocal during the game. I doubt it was anything malicious and a bit of banter makes for an entertaining time

Nelson Suburbs defeated Richmond Athletic 2-0 to move through to the second round of the Chatham Cup. Torrential rain made for a scrappy match and although they dominated posession Suburbs were kept scoreless at the break thanks to some tireless work from Richmond keeper Karl Numan. Joe Green was shown a red card in the second half after a horror tackle on Suburbs star player Sam Ayers. But Suburbs came alive in the second spell dominating the left hand flank, Adam Smith and Mathew Elliot were the stars of the show and were always a threat on attack. Elliot and new signing Brandon Kay scored the two goals.

Tawa supporters love getting in the thick of things anyway, you only had to be at Tawa's away win to Wests in the opening round of CL to realise that. Every single time the ref pulled something up against Tawa, you could cut the angst with a knife. And that was when they were winning...

Tawa lost 3-1 to Olympic. The favourites... And defending champs. Get over it. Be thankful it wasnt a repeat of the last encounter.

Well it looks like it wasn't the coach that made the "gesture" but the Club Chairman....the old " Upper cut gesture" if the Tawa fans can not handle that there is something seriously wrong ....may be we should  lock ourselves in a room and just watch TV.... get over it...it wasn't rude no malicious... and if they can't handle this ...then may be they should stay at home... I would always respect your right to say your opinion till your opinion becomes an issue with someones' rights...and in this case it has.

Can you lot give it a rest.  This is really boring.

Thanks.

Good game Sunday.  Tawa a good central league side.  Olympic potential title winners.

Jimmy v Karl the highlight of the day.  And NVH's left foot "clearances".

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Can't wait for the draw tomorrow. Hopefully we avoid someone like a Bays or Central. Glenfield at home would be a great chance for revenge on last year.

Brew Town are a dark horse. Pub team that knocked out Fencibles in this weekends round, apparently they have around 6 or 7 ex Conference players in their ranks. Could be a team to watch if they get a run going.

Three for me, and two for them.

Missing Person. Last seen running the line at the Petone - Lower Hutt Cup game. If anyone sees him please let Capital Football know, they are getting quite worried.

Unlucky, Buff. Got a nice trip to the country instead!  Have to try and get along and watch that one. Your boys would be pretty warm favourites I think.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
