How can he do that? Anyone know how that works?

I know a kid in that side, huge upset that.

I'm not sure but I imagine he can choose which side he plays for and that is the side that he has to stay with for the rest of the cup. Clearly he made the right choice.

He probably wanted to go to the school ball.

Eastern Suburbs 2 - 2 MAP AET (Easts win 6-5 on penalties)

Bohemian Celtic 1 - 2 OneSports AET (FT 1-1)

NOOOO both my teams only just tipped out after 90 minutes.

Bay Olympics run could well be doing the rest of the country a favour. Should beat TKU and take out 2 very good teams in a row.

So a school player can elect, in this situation, who they play for?

Good draws for the two Hamilton sides.

Great draws, about time we had a Hamilton team go deep in the cup. It's a pity finances are so tight, I think the regional rounds go one round too far, some regions are lacking a bit. The fact ECB, TKU and Napier could all be out before the national stage is a bit unbalanced I reckon

Westlake. A nice easy draw there to see us through to the Round of 16.

Three for me, and two for them.

Away to Oratia is a tricky fixture for Melville. Oratia have a young, quick side who I think will compete well and have potential to cause an upset over the Melville kids. I think the Waikato-ites will probably still prevail but I'm picking a close scoreline, something like a 2-1 or 3-1.

Wanderers should thump Waitemata.

waitemata are a quick young side aswell but i think both sides will lose by 3 or 4 goals

 VERY Good reasons for that

1. Upper Hutt       P9 W9 D0 L0 F28 A6     Pt 27

6. Stop Out          P9 W3 D1 L5 F14 A16   Pt 10

14/4/12      Stop Out 1- 2 Upper Hutt City

Does one need to go on???

Not gonna try and pick the others, but I'm thinking on their day Cavey should beat Roslyn. Based on recent years, the Sthn dominance over Mainland teams, coupled with the fact that its a good Tech team, I'm picking Tech. Uni v Western is a comparitively weak tie, and much will depend on who's gone home for holidays. Western will be favourites but Uni could easily take it.

Agree with Otago Fan, on paper and this seasons form I think Cavvy should get through to the next round.

Varsity are arguably the number 3 team in Dunedin. One of the best Varsity teams for many years. If they turn up and stay calm it could be a very very good game, high scoring as Varsity do have a habit of being caught pushing forward.

Will be an interesting game New Brighton vs Tech, if the odds are good it would be worth placing a tenner on Tech.

Watched Oratia struggle to deal with Unicol, they're quite rubbish. Only about 3 good players. Of course, this is Melville we are talking about, so it could happen, but on their day they should put 10 past them, probably have learned their lesson from Ranui Swanson

Plus Stop Out has knocked out two more fancied teams in the Cup already, and with their league season going nowhere thay may be more motivated for the Cup.

Just as an aside, a few weeks back when doing the poddy we recorded our predictions for this round just finished - and I picked Wanganui City to upset Island Bay, and even got the scoreline right! Unfortunately the recording didn't make the final cut, and I had my one moment of glory cruely snatched away from me...

True. Will definitely be won of the two Games of the round for Welly region the other being The Miramar Rapa match. Not to forget of course Upper Hutt has knocked out one current and one former central league side in ts two rounds, both with a degree of comfort , (with only 10 men against Tawa) and as Dairy flat says getting the cliches out "can only play whats put in front of them".

Looking forward to it and I am sure Matt Gasper will get a nice welcome back!

You'll get better odds for Coastal who will win it.
