Manukau next round please.
Three for me, and two for them.
I've posted a write-up and photos from Bay Olympic's shock 2-0 exit at the hands of Three Kings United here:
If Stop Out get past this one, who knows how far they could end up going...

They were on Twitter. As the draw was made.
Disappointed that is was not a national. That said, is that a good or bad thing? At this stage you could still face four away games and that might cost, rough guess, best part of $20K in airfares... so maybe regional is the way? Hmm...
I'm thinking Caversham, Dun Tech, Rangers, Rovers, Suberbs, Hamilton, Papatoetoe, TKU.
This is just a gut feel but it doesn't feel like a particularly strong last 16 compared to previous years.

From up North
Melville should beat Suburbs, Suburbs very average this year
Birkenhead could upset Hamilton
Papatoetoe very poor but will beat Manukau
Central to beat TKU, all of the Auckland City boys will be back playing
Round 5 listed on NZF site as National for sometime, althought some federation sites have it listed as National at round 4. Must of been changed at some stage from original release.

The draw will go national for the quarter-finals (i.e. will be national for the next round).
Like the format this year, think it's too early to go national for the round of 16, but like the fact that capital and central joined together in an earlier round.
No CL and Big Cup in P North :|
Mar vs Stop Out looks a great game to watch.
From NZ Football Website:
New Zealand Football: Dunedin teams at home in ASB Chatham Cup fourth round
June 26, 2012
AUCKLAND – The fourth round of the ASB Chatham Cup will take centre stage in Dunedin on the weekend of July 7 and 8 with the city’s big two football clubs each landing home advantage in this morning’s draw.
Southern League leaders Dunedin Technical drew four-time winners Western from Christchurch, and Cashmere Technical will also travel south to meet Caversham with both matches likely to be played at the Caledonian.
Manukau City, the lowest ranked side left in the last 16 of the 85th running of the knockout competition, also fared relatively well by avoiding the five Northern Premier League sides. However, a home tie against first division outfit Papatoetoe will still be their toughest test yet.
Northern first division leaders Birkenhead United will hope the Shepherd’s Park faithful give them the edge over Hamilton Wanderers as they look to reach the quarterfinals for just the second time in the cup’s 89 year history, while giant-killers Stop Out are eying a third Central League scalp when they take on four time winners Miramar away at David Farrington Park.
After gaining revenge on champions Wairarapa United in the third round, last year’s runners up Napier City Rovers travel to Lower Hutt City for an all-Central League clash, while the Northern Region sees two heavyweight fixtures with Three Kings United hosting Central United in Auckland and Melville hosting Auckland’s Eastern Suburbs at Hamilton’s Gower Park.
The eight fourth round winners will enter an open national draw for the Chatham Cup quarterfinals. The final of the ASB Chatham Cup is scheduled for August 25.
ASB Chatham Cup 2012

Central Region

Miramar v Stop Out – Dave Farrington Park, Sat 7
Southern Region

Caversham v Cashmere Technical – Caledonian (Day TBC)
Chatham Cup Round Dates
Qualification Round – April 25
Round One – May 12/13
Round Two – June 4
Round Three – June 23/24
Round Four – July 7/8
Quarterfinals – July 21/22(national draw)
Semi-finals – August 4/5
Final – August 25/26
As above, I'd love the competition to go national now, but it just isn't feasible I think.
More interesting stuff from the Northern League, the two worst teams playing each other, and the two best teams playing each other. Although it'd be great for both Hamilton teams to make the national stages, I think both could very easily be knocked out this round.
Biggest home game in Birko's history. Massive support will get us through.
Three for me, and two for them.
I agree, the earlier the National draw the better, but certainly I don't think it's sustainable.
Hi Ronaldknow
The Old Rangers didnt have enough to trouble a weakend Grumpy Old Mens Club.
Picking the next round Ill take Grumpy Old Mens Club (Dun Tech).
Not sure on The Arse (Cavvy), they do not have the midfield movement from prior years.
OtagoFan,
What are your thoughts?

Tech will win and win well.
Cavey looked alright and played some really nice football against Roslyn, but I agree, that while they scored some nice goals, it wasn't because of the really flowing beautiful football like the last couple of years. Could win, probably even warm favourites, but an upset wouldn't suprise.
But the nature if the cup is, if they do get up, and can avoid Mirimar, Napier and Central/TKU in the quaters, a semi final spot is a real possibility.
Wanderers 1 Waitemata 0. Awful awful game, Wanderers were rubbish but mata were just that extra bit worse.
Also, Stop Out 4 Upper Hutt 2, Lower Hutt 3 Maycenvale 0, Western 1 University 0, Manukau 1 Mangere 0
by premiership standards I agree, although I think waitemata played quite well and surprised a few
close game. Waitemata played up and wanderers played down IMO, waitemata boys should be proud

Guess I owe you a tenner. No point moaning about the disallowed goal or the one that hit the post or the 2 great saves. DTech took their chances well and accordingly deserved to win. If that wasn't enough to trouble a few grumpy old men I don't know what is. Next time we'll try and put our best side out and see what happens. Coastal are nothing like the old Rangers thank goodness, on the field or off it. Hopefully we'll make the Sth Island finals at the end of the year so we can set the record straight. I hear Cavvy have lost a few of the guys that played in that 6-4 thriller against 10 man Coastal last year at the Cally, if that's the case I would expect Tech to go through.
What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?
12 o'clock Wakefield 1 Miramar v Stop Out. Big game for both clubs. Who will Shark Park favour.

The Arse (Cavvy) beat a strong GOM (Dun Tech) 3 v 1 in the weekend.
I will have to go for two home wins for the South Island round. Cup Football will prove me wrong, which is why the CC is a great comp. Though cost prohibitive it would be great if they went country wide a round earlier.
Reason number #2 Why I love Football..
A weaker team can win, not many sports where a team can hold on, have a moment of brilliance and win the game.

Dino11 You are likely to be right but Cashmere Technical the best chance of the Christchurch side to advance going by recent form in the Mainland PL.

Chashmere look decent enough, can't say i recognise many Western players

Western have not have alot of luck this season but could surprise, players to watch out for will include Sam Miles (back from playing University Football in the States) and Alex Pax.

Sure is. Having spent the best part of a month with Cherbel in the US, I can say he is a great footballer, and a top kid. Hope he goes far.
Papatoetoe v Manukau into extra time, looks like Lower Hutt are going to tip over Napier
Stop Out were robbed..... no they weren't. The romance of the cup, eh? <sigh>
Has to be said.Upper Hutt made a great effort in presenting their cup tie against Stop Out. Felt like nothing special at Wakefield today. We have to learn to market our bigger matches.
