Slightly emotive Mr Old Brighton Fan, the shaky cold might be clouding your judgement.

Friendly wager from the warmer southern town, will $10 be acceptable.

Napier City Rovers v Wairarapa United

Maybe worth a drive over to Napier to watch that game.

I was never an old Brighton fan, and the shaky cold isn't clouding my judgement half as much as yours :)

Take your money any day!

What's the story about a half-time penalties thing at the UHC/Stop Out match? I hear things like mayors and MPs....

A Penalty shootout with Trevor Mallard (Hutt south MP) and Chris Hipkins (Rimutaka MP) in goal,  with Wayne Guppy (Upper Hutt Mayor) and Ray Wallace (Lower Hutt Mayor) taking penalties in an Upper Hutt  /  Lower Hut "shoot out".

Think I would give my left nut to get the chance to shoot at Trevor Mallard from 12 Yards!

Seems like all the big games are on Sunday! Will head down and watch Wanderers tomorrow, should be an easy win. Any Saturday upsets anyone is forecasting?

A late ground change in Christchurch with the Chatham Cup tie between Cashmere Technical vs. Nelson Suburbs now at Ferrymead Park 1pm KO.

just back from Harcourt.

SO 4  UH 2

SO had this tied up at HT.

UH never in it all day, defence today was none existant and very ordinary to say the least and who was meant to be playing at left back ?????

It was nobody home big time a real  shocker.

Well done SO you deserved the win good luck in the next round.

UH I hope there is some serious soul searching this week because what was served up today is not acceptable.

Guttered for Varsity, but Tech win was expected. 2 sides in the last 16, can't complain with that. Fingers crossed for Western and Cashmere to both be in Dunedin in 2 weeks time.

Further to UHC 2 Stop Out 4.

As cup ties go, a very good one. Of course I may be a bit biased.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

14 year old scored for Stop Out today too.  Was an entertaining game with tonnes of chances. Think UH had about 3/4 cleared off the line, SO maybe 1 or 2 as well.  Great crowd in and the Lower and Upper Hutt Majors and MPs did a penalty shoot out at half time.  Great entertainment.  Got it on video so will upload at some stage.

NZ Football article comments of Stop Out and 'kinder draws'.  http://www.nzfootball.co.nz/index.php?id=11&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=1717&tx_ttnews[backPid]=10&cHash=faf8d2d1d8

Two Central League teams and then an undefeated top of the league side...   Hmmm, not KIND in my book.

Manukau City and Lower Hutt’s Stop Out have made the most of kinder draws to win through to the last 16 in the ASB Chatham Cup, while Papatoetoe joined them after upsetting Onehunga Sports away from home.

Just the majors? No colonels or generals? Lame.

Looking good for the Dunedin teams to progress to the quarters with all 3 top sides from Mainland now out of it. DTech fortunate to get away with it today against Coastal. Coastal hit the post and Tech keeper made a couple of great saves. They defended well in the 2nd half while still creating the odd chance but were lucky not to have a player sent when Skippy was through on goal with only the keeper to beat half way through the second spell. In the end the team that took its chances won. Simple as that.

Good luck to Coastal for their remaining league campaign, good bunch of guys to play against today & hope they can improve on their league position. Bit of a game of two halves to be honest, Tech dominated the first 40mins & slotted two goals & Coastal had a couple of decent changes. Second half was Coastal's for sure but we did what we had to do, agree with the decision with the last defender but overall the ref was pretty good...in the end, like you said we took our chances, i personally thought we played to the conditions better than Coastal & your Coach was well out of order in the after the match speeches....sorry but sour grapes!
