Excellent game today at foster park. Best match of the season with two teams playing some great football with plenty of passion. Very good refereeing too.

Has the bubble burst for Selwyn? The Monday game becomes hugely important for them now, the season shifts past the halfway point of the first round of 2, if teams want to move on to qualifying for the SI League points for the bottom four are getting crucial. Nomads and Uni in a reglegation battle already?

Chalk and cheese Selwyn this weekend. There was more grit and desire put into the 1st 5 minutes of the game today against Nelson, than in 90 against FC on Friday. Up to the players to recognise what Selwyn side needs to turn up each week.

Funny thing is, if/when we learn to get that 1st win, I think the players will know that they can do it and go from there. That 1st win hopefully doesn't come too late in the piece

Apparently from Wednesday

Well some were on their new app earlier today but now they’ve gone (could be down to a slight issue in a couple of the draws)

This was posted on Mainland's facebook page less than an hour ago:

Good evening to you all.
Sorry for the delay in getting the draws out. A technical issue has put us behind schedule.

The draws are now up and can be seen on our Website in the fixtures and results section or by checking out our new App!

Good luck to Aaron.

Geelong SC plays in one of the two regional State League 1 divisions, underneath the Victoria National Premier League. They are a club with ambition, hoping to make next year's new Victoria NPL2. They've recently signed Darren Davies, ex Melbourne Victory Assistant Coach in a Football Development role across the club. Bit of background here: Geelong Soccer Club story

Hard to follow #mainlandMPL on twitter.

Only Bays seems to be regular tweeters (goal updates), occasionally Coastal, who used to be the standard with live tweeting. Don't think any other club has an active account. A long way behind other clubs around the country. Thank goodness for Gav.

Yes agreed, pretty sh!thouse.

I get my updates via the Bet365 app. You can turn on notifications and it sends you an alert when a goal is scored. Can be quite busy when Selwyn are playing.

Any one know what is going on with the Selwyn defence? Seems like they are conceding an average of 5 goals a game, what’s going on?!

I retired. It's very interesting to watch Bet365's guy who does the Coastal and Canty games. He does yoga the whole time and before we knew who he was or what he did we used to call him naked yoga guy as he ended up losing a number of articles of clothing.  He is constantly on his phone updating where the ball is, if it's a dangerous attack etc.

I did get two correct bets this weekend too!

Russell Kamo in 2010 and Ben Wright 2013 both scored in 7 successive MPL games, with 4 players having scored in six rounds on the trot with Nishan Biswa the 9th player to have scored in five rounds on the bounce.

My assumption is that as they are not on the website, they won't be on the app. Maybe they aren't being entered until people arrive at work on the Monday?

Make that on the website as well and it's now Monday PM.

Not getting a lot of service for subs $ this year.

Time to take up Bowls can get a hot shower after a game and a cold beer at cheap prices not at rip off prices like some football clubs.

Cheaper to drink at the local bar.

Halswell FC club rooms have the best beer selection in town.

Problem we have is our twitter 'poster' is now having to video our games..still posting but not always on time and sometimes not the best quality posts

By the developer of the software that a big fat yes. Mainland will say they have a problem because it's linked to all Federations.

I know that the club was putting results into the Mainland database as soon as we got back to the clubrooms.

Still not showing for any grade except MPL., CCL& CCL Reserves.

Results all look to be showing now...hopefully they'll be up earlier for the next round of games...
