Can someone please post the current table? I don't seem to be able to get on the cap footy website at the mo...?

It will be scary to see how many a Seatoun or Massey put past Wanganui given Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt have scored 12 and 10 respectively against them already.
Valeron looked a bit better yesterday v United than their table placing suggests. Could be the new kits. Sadly they've retained the same loud and foul-mouthed supporter base.

Anyone got result & score predictions for round 4?

Game of the round HAS to be United v Karori. Karori seemingly missing a number of players from last season (although maybe that was just for the Cup game) and United's young ones seem to be developing nicely. Given that it's at Karori Park maybe the weather and pitch conditions will be decisive?
Surely you're not going to play Macca in the midfield again, Feverish?
Wharf has lost four ex U-17 internationals to Auckland (Rollo, Briar, Megan, CJ) but has gained back Roni and Chelsea. Their game two weeks back v Diamonds was very even and was decided only by a Rollins corner that went in directly. WU's diminutive No 10 (Miki ??) is some talent.
NATIONAL KO CUP draw (round of 16) for May 11: Wharf v Valeron, Massey v Varsity.
Personnel were missing for the Cup game due to holidays so hopefully will be a better performance this week. Should be a tight game. Hopefully the council will actually use their mowers this week.

The WCC's mowing policy seems to be universal. Parents at both Seatoun and Kelburn Park also losing their children in the long grass.
Micky is a talent, and seems to have grown an inch or two over the summer. New combination in the defence could be interesting.
That Varsity v Massey Cup game will be a blowout. Valeron a potential banana peel for Wharfies?

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for
but all we get is talk and goal posts moving
Valeron pipping LH 4-3 after being 3-0 up, Wharf taking Utd 2-1, Seatoun easy over UH 5-1, and Massey knocking another 11 past Wanga who must be in a bad place right now.

Didn't manage to see the Karori United game. Thoughts from anyone who was there?

Pretty decent of LH. Could have been a good chance to test Massey's depth.

ASB NATIONAL KNOCKOUT CUP: Wharf are through to the last eight nationwide after beating Valeron 2-1 on penalties at Karori Park. The score was 2-2 at 90 minutes after both sides had held the lead, and still 2-2 after extra time. The penalty shoot was not great: 7 out of 10 shots were saved or missed.

Capital Football is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Lawrence as Head Coach of the Capital squad for the upcoming 2014 ASB National Women’s League, which starts in October.
Natalie has been involved with the National Women’s League in previous years as an assistant coach in 2012 and helping out last year.
She has been involved with many female players as a Federation Talent Centre coach and the Women’s Development Officer with Capital Football.
Natalie is looking forward to the challenge and what the 2014 season will bring.
“I’m very excited. It will be a bit of a rebuilding year so it’s a good time for change and should provide a number of chances for local girls to step up to this level. It’s fantastic to offer these girls an opportunity to be seen and play against some top-quality players in our biggest league,” she says.
Capital Football’s Football Development Manager Des Buckingham says the appointment fits in well with New Zealand Football’s eight-year vision to have elite women’s football played, officiated, coached and managed by females by 2021.
Trials for the Capital National Women’s League side will be held around the end of August.

Four -- yep four -- of last year's Wharf XI, all now living in Auckland, have just been named in the Junior Football Ferns team to play matches in Brazil. One day Karori Park (Field of Dreams). The next day Samba Time. Good travels CJ, Briar, Rollo and Megan.

UH 6 nil at half time with United totally stunned by 2 early goals and UH's aggression and fitness. United did 3 subs at half time which made an even 2nd half with 2 goals each.
Wanganui now Played 5, Lost 5 Goals for 0, against 46. They have lost 4 of their 5 games by 10 or more, best result being a 3 nil loss. I can probably see them withdrawing from the league at some point. God knows how many Seatoun and Wharf will put past them.
You not predicting a storming second half of the season from Wanga then?

Massey were fairly comfortable for most of the game, but Seatoun were hopeless in front of goal. Seatoun had a number of chances that went begging including a couple of empty nets when the keeper rushed out.
The one goal that Massey conceded was put down as an own goal, Massey keeper rushed out and getting rounded, and defender failed to clear off the line.
"Carrying only one substitute into the fixture, injured player Melanie Ragg stood in for absent coach Shane Wye and rallied the ladies before their match, hoping to inspire them as they took on what could be their last chance this round to gather their first competition points."
