Handbags and a red card for Penha. Which sucks because he will be missing against Macarthur.

Jets and Pappas totally lost the plot with victimhood. A couple of correct VAR decisions against them in the last two days- one saw Pappas walking away from the game early, this game saw this from Penha. CC right under their skin and the Jets have totally lost control.
Edit: and the YouTube coverage cut bang at the final whistle! Was a minute or two behind.

Adelaide open the scoring, 1-0. Expecting the flood gates to open now.

Victory resting and rotating players through this busy spell by the looks of it.
Oh to have the depth of squad to have that luxury

Not easy to go to Brisbane and win though.

Finishes 1-1 in muddy wet conditions.
Energy sapping. But Vic used all there subs, and looked like they are trying to pace themselves.

CCM vs Western, c'mon the draw.

Mariners looking more likely so far. Nkololo has really come into form at the right time for them.

I remember Alou saying in a post-match interview that his younger brother was better than him and so far it seems he's not wrong.

And the 3rd one was the best of the lot, think he is in CCM's youth system also.

[Edit: Whoops, Garang is the 3rd brother. Teng is a year older & was at the Victory last season, now at CCM tho.]

If the reported new money comes into the club it could be good times coming on the Coast. Would be nice to see after so many years of under-investment, poor vision and disappointing football.

CCM winning isn't the worst result for us. If we are gonna finish 6th, we wanna face Western United & it helps hopefully make our game vs City in the final round meaningless for City.

Going to miss Reds v Roar unfortunately. Roar no easy beats so maybe they can do us a favour.

Mariners looking pretty certain for finals footy now and good on them.

Ogawa equalises for WSW, 1-1

This draw and CCM's win mean Wanderers slim top 6 hopes are officially ended.

So Nix will play a WSW team hopefully a bit flat, and maybe even resting a few first choice players. Though they will have some anger after losing narrowly at Eden Park, when they really should have at least drawn that game.

Only Macarthur (7th, 32 pts) and Sydney (8th, 31 pts ) each with 2 left can catch the Nix now (6th, 36 pts)
MAC - Newcastle (H) & WSW (H)
SFC - Victory (H) & Roar (A)

Macarthur denied Nix making top 6, last season by 1 pt. Revenge this season?

A win against the Wanderers will see it happen.

If Newcastle could beat Macarthur today, that would be great.

If we were to make the Top 6, it appears we will probably be in the 6th spot so ideally we want Western to drop to 3rd now.

Two of the most inconsistent teams in the comp. Suspect Macarthur will do the biz today though.

Fair chance that would've been onside if he had scored it, as he should've. Another big moment.

Anything could happen with Kersey in charge. That Thurgate card was supposedly for stomping, yet Noone theatrically grabbed at his knee. Lots of play acting out there today.

Jets go into the sheds up 0-1 but there are a few more goals in this one.

They are keeping Davilla quiet. If they continue with that the jets might snag a win.

Ha, that is crap from Juric. Massively overrated player imo.

Could make me regret that though....

See ya next season Macarthur 🙈

This result does not help us at all. We still have to prove that we are good enough to make the top 6. I have my doubts.

Honestly, if we get in the 6 after having 4 games in NZ the past two and a bit years, and after the heartbreak of last season - We take it, no further questions.

Finals football, everything is on the table and there's nothing to be afraid of. Go in and take it game by game, grab the opportunities by the scruff of the neck. You can't win trophies sitting in the stands or watching at home on the tele. We're not the best team in the league, but we'll damn well give it a good shake.

We've been unlucky with injuries to key players too, but we must be doing something right if we're still in with a shout. Yes?

We can lose both remaining games and still make it, if Sydney drops any points from their last two games. Ideally we don't wanna do that and beat WSW on Thursday to secure our spot tho.
