You guys really think the FFA Cup is a prestigious trophy that we should be aiming to win? Okay.

Given we've never won anything in our history not sure what gives us the right to turn our noses up at any competition TBH.  I always think if you're in it you may as well try and win it, would be a great achievement

While I completely agree that we should be aiming to win any competition we're in, I'm not losing much sleep over being knocked out of the FFA Cup and I'm not sure Ernie will be either. I said on Twitter the other night, it's a good vehicle for Ernie to find out what (and who) works and what doesn't before the season starts.

The FFA Cup reminds me of those English Cup Tournaments with ludicrous names that lower league teams used to play in. Yes, it's nice to win, but no-one is THAT much bothered about it. All the fanfare from the FFA about the Cup is just lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Another point to come out of that match was that we missed another fudgeing penalty. Sure, we scored one as well, but still we must easily have the worst penalty conversion rate of any A League club.

I think CCM might be worse.

We missed more pens last season than all other clubs combined.

We also didn't miss that penalty, it was saved. It was actually a pretty fudgeing outstanding save too, because the penalty couldn't have been hit much harder or further away from the centre of the goal.

Yeah, I already clarified what I meant - we don't convert penalties. Obviously in that instance there wasn't much more Roy could have done but the general point that we seem to convert a lot less penalties than anyone else stands.

Victory up 1-0 at half time. Rockdale probably the better side but just didn't take their chances, Victory snag one against the run of play just before half time.

Victory win 3-2, Rockdale did everything they could to get a late equaliser but just fell up short. Very valiant effort by Rockdale.

Only for the 1/4 final, right?

I don't know, he wasn't playing great in his last international matches.
Good luck to them and hopefully he provides something.

Kosta makes it 2-0 just before half time. Adelaide are looking rubbish.

Was at the game last night. Adelaide a bit shark in the front third, and are full of whinny moaning picks.  Tards very good. Could have been 5 or 6. Will take some beating this year.

AAMI is a great stadium.  I want one just like it

He'll be in Europe somewhere. Surely.

Depends what the City group has planned for him. He is reportedly on 1.2m at Melbourne City, so he will be happy to stay. He should be at a higher level but the City Group will probably want him to stay at the club rather than send him to another of their clubs.
