Would like to see us try to give this a good go this year. What a magnificent fudge you it would be to the FFA if they didn't renew our license and we won their cup.

Yeah, win the trophy, take it on tour, then hide it until they give us a 10 year licence.

So Foxtel is set to drop the FFA Cup in 2020 leaving a FTA network or streaming service to pick it up due to poor ratings. Admin lock and ban!.

A match up against Melbourne Knights would be pretty interesting.

wont happen, we'll be involved in the only a-league vs a-league game, and with our current squad we'd probably have to default.

It is a rigged draw, so 6 A-League teams face off in 3 games & you can play Academy kids without having to sign them to deals so we have no issues with finding enough players.

Is Mackay and Whitsunday Magpies Crusaders United the worst name for a club anywhere in the world?

It is the product of a couple clubs merging recently, I guess this was the only way to keep everyone happy.

From memory a club that pissed off Welnix last year, with some attempted undermining through the media.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/a-league/103453095/wellington-phoenix-refute-media-reports-club-licence-could-be-sold-to-south-melbourne

Another story was published on Friday by SBS, claiming the Brisbane Strikers were in talks with the Phoenix over their A-League licence.

The Phoenix said they "have had no discussions with them and there are no talks on going".

Facilities at Perry Park are pretty good I think, wonder if we might be a decent chance of being the main televised game again?

Not the most enjoyable game I've ever been to. The souvlaki was pretty good, at least. I still have nightmares of Fox at DM and Lowry at RB.

For our FFA Cup game last year our starting XI/bench at the time was listed as a 4-2-3-1:

Kurto, Lowry,  Taylor, Durante, Cacace, Kopa, Fox, Nicholls, Burns, Singh, Krishna

Bench: Sail, Fenton, Doyle, Rufer, Waine

Will be interesting to see if we can pull together a stronger squad than we had at this time last year come our first game.

Only 2 of that starting line-up still here. Very suggestive of the re-build that's in front of Ufuk.

Rufer, ??

Davila

McCowatt Sotorio

Waine.
