Surprised by that, despite their results.  Thought they'd stick with him for the season

Assistant is taking over for the rest of the season. They'll probably be after Ufuk come season's end no doubt...

Fox Sports reckons assistant Carlos Salvachua will be appointed as interim manager for the rest of the season.

they can fudge right off!!! If the club allowed Talay to break his contract to go to Victory I'd be furious!

Nope he has a gig already & the way he was pushed out the door in the off season makes you think there was a massive breakdown in the relationship with the board.

Just kidding - but it would be interesting to imagine they would offer to buy out Rudan's contract ...

Does he have the quals? Or maybe there's an exemption for interim coaches?

There is, they can coach for a certain amount of games. That is why Greenacre could be in sole charge when Ricki quit.

Aussie media reporting Victory are close to sealing Traianos Dellas as their new coach but the Aussie/Greek webby who originally linked him (via Greek media reports) claims their info says the deal is off & they are back to chasing Talay again.

Interesting. I must say I wasn't entirely reassured by Talay's comments post-Perth game when asked about his being courted by MV. Something about his slightly ambiguous phrasing re him not thinking about it "for the time being" made me a little uneasy.

Hope I'm wrong. Losing yet another successful coach after just one season in the job would be a huge setback for the club.

Talay strikes me as a guy that will honour his deal & I dont think the owners would listen to offers for him either.

He certainly does seem to have a more loyal personality than Rudan.

Dude was a cancer at Rovers, so probably not a great move by the Victory.

Steve Kean-Out, I believe was his full name whilst at Blackburn.

Kean will stab Brebner in the back before the season is over.

I'm not sure it's a great idea to get someone in who has rumoured to be a disabling figure at WSW when your club is at its all time low.

Well he was at Victory before this, so presumably they know him.
But yes; a conroversial choice.

so did I get this right that they sacked him between the end of the match and him doing the presser? ffs. that's horrible from the club.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Feel for him, apparently he didn't want the job but they forced it on him, was always going to be a tough gig.

That job is the poisoned chalice now.  Uffie should stare clear, there will be even more pressure next season. no guarantees they are going to keep you on if results go against you.
