Looks like Ibusuki is going to Western

Would be a good pick up for them. I too thought we could have made a play for him. But alas...

Bit of a surprise, all rumours pointed to Brisbane. But would be a good addition to Western

Ibusuki had a great year, but was meh the previous two. Big gamble IMO - I just don't think he can back it up.

Boyle is a very decent player and still has a lot to offer, but the financial status of the A league (and the new salary cap) would probably make it hard for any club to shell out for his contract buyout and his expected wages.  The trend next year would seem to be promotion from within cub academies, for many clubs and not just the Nix of CCM.
Is their any change to the salary cap? My understanding is its just the distribution of central funding from APL that will be different - but clubs will still have to pay the cap minimum

I think nyou may be corect with this, APL is keeping more of the funds to themselves so they can stay afloat which reduces the funding provided to the clubs - pretty sure the salary maximums and minimums are unchanged.

First couple of seasons, he kinda took a back seat with Goodwin as the main focus to Adelaide's attack. His 3 season average minutes per goal (164) is better than any 3 season span of Krishna's ALM career for example.

Biggest gamble I think is how he meshes with Botic up front. Adelaide didn't play a 4-4-2.

Age 20, 38 ALM games, 6 goals. 4 goals this breakout season at MAC.
Biggest player transfer MAC have had in their short existence?

Old good enough to go to The Championship?
Age 21, 71 ALM games, 7 goals . 5 goals in this his breakout season.

Quite scary how much room Uffie will have to build a squad for his style - my odds on favourite for next year

may have the squad space, byut how he fills it will be determined by how much of the salary cap his owners are gonna allow him to spend.

Uffie might take Youstin Salas since we don't seem to be wanting to extend his loan

You'd asume that the club would watn to see if they could keep Salas, bringing him here for a few months and letting him go doesnt seem like something Cheif or Dome would do.

Honestly thought he would end up at Sydney cuz of Uffie. He is a Melbourne boy tho.

Honestly thought he would end up at Sydney cuz of Uffie. He is a Melbourne boy tho.

After initially thinking against the idea, having sat on it for a while, I changed my tune. He would be a good like for like replacement for Ben Old, should rumours turn into something more concrete that would see him depart these shores.

Of course, the big drawback in all that is the time he's spent on the sidelines ever since coming to the A-League.

Guess that doesn't matter too much now though.
