Yep, they have officially confirmed it. I reckon he is a good pick up for them, they will get him fit and firing.

Will be interesting to see how the his injuries that he had this season pan out. I'm glad it was not us that signed him. All the times I've seen him play this season he has been rubbish.
He got injured and Glory had sacked their fitness coach, so its not surprising they couldn't get him fit for long periods of time.

And he is not 25 years old either.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

That's a good signing for Sydney. Arnold gets something out of players that other coaches can't (in most cases). He'll have him fit and firing. Along side Ibini (whom is hot and cold) that could be a dangerous opponent.

Sydney FC have 3 marquee spots still available too. I think they will be tough to beat next season.

Sorry I meant import.

Wait, how do they still have 4 spots left? They already have Petkovic and Dimitrijevic.

Dimitrijevic hasn't officially been re-signed afaik, people have said he will be but I haven't seen any confirmation as of yet.

Fox Sports understands @SydneyFC have turned down an approach from the management team of former Argentinian striker Javier Saviola.

Figured that since they forked out big money for ADP, their guy could get a slice of that?

Heart confirm the signings of James Brown, Connor Chapman and Jacob Melling. Melling being a contracted NYL player outside the squad.

[Edit: Victory offering Milligan a new contract which will make him their Aussie marquee]

Brosque back to Sydney?

yea i saw this. they are thinking of making him their oz marquee... thats a bit of a joke
There just isn't many 'aussie marquee' quality players out there. The A-League should change it to an AFC marquee spot (I would prefer designated players rather than marquees myself tho)
I'd be pretty happy with Brosque here.

Foundation captain Michael Beauchamp, Shinji Ono, Youssouf Hersi, Jerome Polenz, Adam D’Apuzzo, Jerrad Tyson, Aaron Mooy, Tahj Minniecon, Dean Heffernan and Josh Barresi have all parted company with the Wanderers following the conclusion of their contracts.

Ono, Mooy and Hersi have already signed with new clubs for next year but the axing of club captain Michael Beauchamp signals Tony Popovic’s intention to overhaul the Wanderers squad for next season.

Roar trying to sign Shola Ameobi?

Permalink Permalink

Catching up on SST, they reckon this guy is looking for an A-League club. Probably aiming for one of the ACL Clubs I guess tho http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoshito_Okubo

They also reckon Adelaide is trying to operate on 85% of the cap next season.

I expected him to head to Heart, he is a DM and the Victory already have Milligan.

Keogh has family in Perth it seems. He could be a very good pick up, 28/29 so the right age for a marquee player imo.
