Finally the issue is sorted!! Had a call from ticketek this morning saying they couldnt get the paper tickets issued, but for some reason they sent 2 of the 3 tickets to the holder of the credit card rather than my address(as advised when I rang) and they arrived this morning, yay

I got a call today and instead of mailing the ticket that asked if it was sweet emailing the ticket for this weeks game which arrived a minute after the phone call. SWEET!

Popped into to Ticketek at the Michael Fowler Centre at lunchtime and noticed they had no posters or anything advertising this Weekends game!!  Not impressed!!

Ticketek have dropped the ball quite badly this season imo, late tickets, website problems (there have been a few times this season when I have searched for "phoenix" on their website and no results return, and sometimes even dead links.
The advertising, while frustrating isn't really down to T-tek. I would imagine that they would promote the events that are going to make them the most money (kinda like Sky TV is doing to us right now).

Another way for Tek to screw us, but I also have to wonder how much blame needs to be directed at the Nix Marketing team.

I am extremely grateful for all the assistance I have received from the Nix, but I notice that there are no promises of improvement next season after last years fiasco. Are we able to get a confident "never again" for next season?

If that does turn out to be the case, go to the ticket boot and demand a paper ticket.

I was thinking more along the lines of complain and get angry at the red badge staff who have nothing to do with the tickets.

They would have to delay the game in that case.

When I got through on the phone on wednesday, I was told I would be getting a paper ticket for the first game as the card wouldnt be ready in time. Left a message with them yesterday, no response. Checked the order details on the web & they have cancelled the first order & replaced it with another order dated 13/8/09, needless to say, NO SEASON PASS, NO PAPER TICKET,
NO-ONE answering phone, will now have to sacrifice valuable drinking time trying to sort out this 4king debacle  with Sh**tytek.

This is taken off the membership website;

When will I receive my membership card?

Membership cards will be sent out to Renewing and New Members prior to 31 July 2009 (please note your forms need to be received by the relevant cut off dates).

All applications received after the cut-off dates will be contacted with details regarding the collection of your membership pack in time for your first home game.

Imagine if we do become successful with a huge following & these incompetent twats have to process 10000 season tickets!

oh my, the 13th of August? Wow. That really sucks. Why are they cancelling our tickets for something they did wrong, and not bothering to even tell us what they have done?

That really sucks, hope that there is someone at the game from dicketek tomorrow you can yell at.

Well I ordered my pass last week, was all done nicely on the phone. However the helpful lady told me the system was down so couldn't enter my details, she told me I would me posted out a ticket for today and if I hadn't recieved it they I could ring them with my booking number from the confirmation email they would send me. Surprise surprise I didn't get a confirmation email and no ticket arrived in my mail so I had to buy a ticket for the game today. Needless to say I will be ringing sh*tetek to get them to refund the price of todays ticket!

..SUCCESS!!

Very disapointed in sh*tetek's performance otherwise though, unless they ordered sometime in the last fortnight everyone should have had their pass long before yesterday.

When did you show up to get a ticket?

Ticketek are open all week, and the booths at the stadium open at 2pm on game day. So plenty of time to get paper tickets.

Unless of course people are leaving it to the last minute to get there, in great Wellington tradition (the same happens with the rugby).

Rung Ticketek today, explained how I had to pay for a ticket and they said I could get it refunded. All very easy. Somewhere they are falling over and it is there customer service reps who cop it, I kind of feel bad for them

have to agree with you there, stuff up after stuff up and no comebacks for ticketek.

So rung up sh*tetek again today as I had still not recieved my confirmation email nor the ticket for Sundays match which was supposedly posted out to me, turns out they hadn't even processed my purchase made last week. Didn't fancy ringing me either to tell me that, just couldn't really be bothered doing it.
If I hadn't of rung I still would have been twiddling my thumbs in a couple of weeks with no ticket. Absolute muppets

Not sure how true it is but i got told that the rugby guys know use ticketmaster.Let hope whatever the club does that next season they sit someone on the job and not let it get out of hand yet again.Whatever they say it HAS cost them members with the cockups for 3 seasons. To lose potential members because of ticketeks incompetence is just crazy.

tottally agree ballane, if they change to ticketmaster i will be a member next year, if it is ticketek i will not.

Have been and Egg-Chasing season ticket holder for a number of years now. Never had a problem when renewing, moving, or reserving my seats for other egg chasing events that I had rights for. Ticketmaster were always very helpful and the one time they gone something wrong, it was sorted out quickly and without fuss.

If we do remain with Ticketek.. here's an idea (probably been mentioned before but I don't have time to read every post)... How about having an option to pick up your season pass from the Phoenix Shop. I know it might not suit eveyone, but it would mean that you wouldn't get it sent to somewhere you lived 3 years ago. It might also give the club a nice photo opportunity when we are all queing down Hunter Street to pick them up when they are available.

I'm slightly disappointed!

Ticktek Strikes Again...

Saints fans able to collect tickets

St Kilda members were able to resume collecting their AFL grand final tickets on Tuesday, after a blunder compounded the annual frustration for fans.

The AFL suspended collection on Monday because up to 800 fans were incorrectly charged for their tickets.

It meant some fans mistakenly believed they had secured precious tickets.

There are never enough tickets to cope with grand final demand.

Saints coach Ross Lyon said he felt for fans who missed out on seeing Saturday's grand final against Geelong.

"You can hold senior coaches responsible for a lot of things, but not ticketing," he said.

"It's very difficult - the system comes out of AFL headquarters, they're agents for the club and we're under instruction, there's a system in place.

"Certainly I hear it bubbling around in the background and I'd hate for anyone to disadvantaged or miss out, but it's a bit like picking the 22, there's only so many you can fit in the stadium."

"Ive just re-visited this and once again realised that C-Diddy is a genius - a drunk, Newcastle bred disgrace - but a genius." - Hard News, 11:39am 4th June 2009

It is a bit of a problem, and although I concede I thought 'why didnt I just buy a ticket before this?' on Sunday, it was still pretty frustrating waiting in a queue of about no more than 15-20 people for half an hour. I was there about 2.40pm at the latest, and just walked in when we scored.

I don't even blame the people serving, it is the system they are using that seems SO SLOW. They take around 2 minutes with every individual ticket selecting it on the screen, printing it, getting your change etc - I suspect it takes even longer if you are paying via credit card etc.

I don't know why they don't just print out a load of tickets so they are there ready just to hand over to people - they would save well over a minute on each person by doing that.

25 minutes before on the best Sunday we have had in yonks, Fowler in town, thousands extra in town for the All Blacks.

How about you use your brain, think these things through and get to the ground earlier

9700 people?

I've been to stadiums with bigger crowds than that before, and waited half the time.

Everybody else in the queue didn't seem too happy with how long it was taking either.

A queue of 20 people or shouldn't take 30 minutes to get through, should it?

Picked up an extra ticket at the Phoenix store in town. Just an hour out from kickoff or so. Took me 1 minute. They are pretty good there.

Will do this in future I think, although this weekend I am getting a train back into Wellington just in time for the game so will be another queue for me

Unfortunately Steve-O, with the system Ticketek uses to process ticket transactions, it does take that long to get through that many people. Best to just buy your ticket beforehand, preferably at the Phoenix store, much easier to deal with.

Yeah it's not great at all.

Not so good for people who maybe just decide to go on the day of the game either, wander up 15 minutes before kick off and miss half of the first half!

It's a weird system too - my mate and I paid for tickets separately at the weekend but were next to each other in the queue and I was served right after him - we both asked for Fever Zone tickets but end up with completely different aisles / rows / seats. Didn't matter as we just found some empty seats anyway but you'd think it would just come up with the next ticket along the row or something like that.
