09/10 Ticket Issues and angst

I thought Ticketek accepted non-credit cards like Eftpos cards???

I spoke to the membership folk the other day and they were adamant I would get my season passes before the first home game.  I ordered them online last Sunday and they hadn't deducted the $ from my credit card so I rang them and she did it manually and even allocated seats to me.  But who knows when they'll show up. Better be before the 16th!

So is it a Card that you swipe through or is it a whole bunch of tickets??  Ticketek told me it was a card so not sure what to expect now.

I totally understand the Phoenix need to be cash viable, but the price of a silver season ($245) is a bit steep and if they want bums on seats then making it less expensive i'm sure would encourage more people to come.  Esp since not everyone has a spare $245 lying round plus "entertainment" costs at each game.

And it would be better for them to handle tickets and seaon passes instead of the other ticketing agencies.  Cut out the middleman!

Otherwise myself and my girlpal are looking forward to a great season! Fingers crossed.

The season pass itself is a laminated card with a barcode at one end which you swipe as you go through the turnstile at the ROF.
Don't know if Ticketek take eftpos for season memberships though.

Wait a week or two. They will cancel it for their own reasons and those passes you currently hold are only as much as the plastic they are printed on.

Still waiting for my 'new' pass.

I really do enjoy going to the games, and being a part of it all. But 3 years in a row. Three years. If Nix are going to do tickets through ticketek next season - forget it.

Bloody hope not Mike. Would not be happy.
Btw, did you hear Terry S on Martin Devlin's Radio Live show yesterday? Terry didn't realise there were more problems this season with Ticketek. He undertook on air that he would look into it today.
This could be interesting...

Hang in there Holeinone....there are very few who are as dedicated as you've been to come see the Nix.
Why don't you pm Tony P with a short summary of your ticketek woes..and especially the fact you've been coming from Wanganui to see the Nix.

I would say right about NOW Terry and Tony will be giving Ticketek both barrels...you might want to... feed them some ammo?

I can't believe they won't take Eftpos in the shop for a season ticket - this literally does not make any sense?

As for the AC/DC debacle, even though I called them and sorted it on Friday I got an e-mail today saying 'As part of our usual post purchase checking, we notice you have made multiple transactions...' - Ha ha!! This is most definitely a load of guff.

Got our family season passes in the mail over the weekend, the seats are random ones in Aisle 26. We have brought all our matchday tickets in the past 2 season in Aisle 23. How were we supposed to let them know what seats we wanted?  We assumed they would contact us prior to issuing them. Apparently it will cost $50 - $200 to change the seats now the passes have been issued?????

The real concern is that those posting about the problems may just be a vocal few.I hate to think of the affect these things have had on those who dont visit the yellow fever site or those others who dont even belong to yellow fever and just plain gave up after the first couple of cockups.

Sorry i know its not the clubs problem but to have  some people get the same level of service as has been received before,is just plain unacceptable.Surely the club should have been all over this, this season.Does make me wonder when Terry says he wasnt aware of the problems last season if we really are being taken seriously.Maybe in some things but clearly this issue hasnt been taken seriously enough, given how long its been posted about.

Yeah, I had a similar dilemma.  I wanted to specify Aisle and rows but didn't see how that could be done over the web.

Infact I ended up in email correspondence with ticketek about the lotto promotion for local clubs (season meberships result in some lotto gear being given to club of choice) and that lead to a phone call from ticketek about seating preferences.

I'm satisfied with how things have turend out for me but I'm a newbie and not a renewing member which seems to be where all the trouble is.

Have been told that we can basically sit anywhere once we get in ... but that assumes that the crowd isn't huge as we would like it to be.

Last season we started out close to the family zone and ended up in Aisle 24 at the last match.  Couldn't get Aisle 24 this time, close to the pitch as we were last season.  We'll be looking out for seats down there come 16 August....race you to them!

precisely - I've said this before - neither we, sh*tetek or most importantly the club, will ever know how many potential season ticket holders have been and are going to be lost through using such an awful ticketing agency that are completely useless/clueless on selling tickets!!!

Thats great but sorry 3rd season in they should be getting it right straight up and the club should have all over them before this.As i posted earlier its those lost season ticket holders that dont post that worry me.I just hope the thinking isnt that there hasnt been any lost because if ticketecs efforts,as that would show they are out of touch with whats happening.

i would like to thank tonyp for getting on to ticketek, i had done most of the phoning and sorting out of  the problem myself. i think tony probably just gave them a rev up and told them to courier the pass instead of normal post so it would get here a day or two earlier.i appreciate him stepping in but feel that he should never have to, he is there to run a football club not sort out ticketek stuff ups.

still no sign of that courier though, hope they did not add the h to wanganui could go to whangarei instead or maybe lower hutt

just had a phone call from the ticketek team, they have not couriered yet doing it today they say,new problem however that i told them not to fix,

i had changed my seat number from last season moved a couple of rows forward from row k to row g the original ticket i had was right but the new ticket is for my old seat the lady on the phone said she could change it but i said no i just wanted the pass.if i got them to change it now would definetly not get it on time.

what else can possibly go wrong with the simple transaction of swapping cash for a season pass definetly not renewing next year if ticketek are involved in any way with ticketing

I was just told renewing members who signed for part payments in the initial renewal period, back in May, won't get the last CC charge until 10th August, which means we have to rely on Ticketek getting the payments done right, and the packs mailed out right in the few days remaining before the first home game.

I hope they don't screw up the courier :|

Another day with my lovely cancelled ticket happily sitting in my wallet.

Another day without my promised replacement card.

I've given up now. Seriously. Purchase something in May, still not delivered 3 months later. Useless.

Very tempted to just get my money back and listen to the games on the radio instead. It won't have the same atmosphere but at least I won't ever have to deal with ticketek.

Cash and Eftpos transactions are the most logical things to do. I don't have a credit card It was easy for me.
Buy prezzy card, load with money. purchase tickets. ring ticketek, quote account number, allocate seats, wait for delivery, receive tickets.

No, they have already told me that my seating has been messed up. I am now sitting on the other side of the stadium to my fiancee. After they said they would have to cancel both tickets and reissue them, I told them not to bother and that we would do it ourselves at the game. Otherwise, we definately wouldn't receive our tickets in time.

So very disappointed.

I don't feel I have much of a right to complain though, because I live in Wellington - don't have to travel from Wangas or anything. Have you got your (new) tickets yet?

You have to wonder just how many people who dont post on here have had this sh*t happen to them and rather than try to resolve it they just give up and spend their entertainment dollar elsewhere.Mean while the Phoenix lose another member.

You would have thought with membership going as it is that this type of crap would be among the things at the top of managements todo list.

I have season ticket so no drama there, but, and it is a big but, I signed up for part payment to spread the load for our 2 season tickets. So what does ticketek do? Surely you can guess - yep charges me full whack in 10 June for the tix - $450.
I noticed it and got them to reverse it - which was done .... on 7 July. Classy.
Now I have a bill for $167 from them. But my 3rd form maths tells me that 3 x $167 does not equal $450 or even $450 plus $10 part payment charge plus Ticketek fee does not equal $501.
Can't wait for next installment .....

BTW Does Ticketek have the contract for events at Wellington Stadium? And anyone know when it is up for renewal?

Thankfully, they don't. Canes & Lions uses Ticketmaster, and the U17's WWC was TicketDirect.

They did this to me, I got the whack which was annoying but I managed to cope with it and received my ticket. I contated Ticketek to explain what they had done and while it was annoying, I had my ticket and I was thus, satisfied enough.

However, 2 weeks later they cancelled my tickets without my consultation, refunded the full amount a week later, and have now commenced part-payments...$190 out of my credit card so far and not so much as a whiff of my actual pass.

So, I am sorry to say this, but be weary next week when you go through the turnstiles. If your pass doesn't let you through, it is because ticketek have cancelled your pass without your knowledge so they can go through with their part payment option properly.

Another day, still no tickets.

Rang "them" up. They said that the "card people" should have sent it to me by now.

Ticketek say that they will have to cancel and reissue the ticket. Say I should get my ticket by next week, but say they may have to issue me with paper tickets for the first game.
I asked why this would be, and how this would happen. Not that agressively as I am quite a placid person on in the flesh or on the phone, but she got grumpy at me!

I'm done. Seriously. The first few months before each and every season has been nothing but hell because of ticketek. I really REALLY do love the nix, I have only missed one home game due to family reasons, but this deal with ticketek is beyond a joke now. After promises last season that things were going to change, and they haven't - I will not be renewing my season ticket if ticketek are involved.

I don't want to get tonyp involved because frankly, he shouldn't have to. 2085 * $7.50 is $15,367 in fees that they are taking from us...thats not including the $10 part-payment charge that started this whole mess in the first place.

And yes I realise that all this ranting and negatively from an inaugural member isn't good for the nix, well it needs to be out there. I've brought in at least 4 or 5 people as members to the phoenix and actively try to get other people to join; believe me I am not the sort of person who is trying to bring this club down.

But seriously, ticketek. I'm done.
