Still no season tickets - it gets really tedious explaining / apologising, on behalf of the Phoenix and Ticketek, to people who you persuaded to buy season tickets.

The above is Dobby, not Gollum!

Now, I have just purchased my membership tonight and from the looks of things I have not got a chance in HELL of receiving it before Sunday. So, what exactly do I need to do in order to get in the stadium? Take my confirmation e-mail to the box office on Sunday??

I didn't expect to get it on time...just taken me a while to actually get round to buying the thing for some reason (well, I was waiting on the Terry situation being resolved, but still).

Ditto.  They also said that even if my proper membership pass turns up in the meantime, I still have to use the emailed ticket for Sunday's game as it will have overridden the membership pass.

yeah up to 48 hours. Rediculous, I thought maybe it would come straight away, but that number is used as a worse case.

But yeah now even if my real passes do make it to me, I cant use them.
sigh

OK - so my real pass turned up in the post this morning after I'd arranged to get an email ticket.  I'm probably going to regret it come Sunday, but I rang back and asked if it was possible to cancel the email ticket.  The lady I spoke to said absolutely and took my name off the list for an email ticket and told me just to use my newly-arrived pass.  Basically, right now they are just making a note of who needs the email ticket and then will be preparing them and sending them out after the lines have closed today and tomorrow.  So, if you can stand the wait on the phone, if your real pass has now arrived and you haven't received your email ticket yet you can contact them again and maybe get the email ticket request cancelled.

On another note - I don't believe my pass is a foundation member one (it's just a yellow one according to my wife - no mention of foundation member or anything), so they've managed to bugger that up.  At this stage I'm just grateful to get my pass.  Getting in touch to get the foundation member pass fixed up is a battle for next week I think.  I guess I'll just have to forego any "benefits" that may be available to me as a foundation member for this Sunday's game - ho hum...

Interesting... when I called this morning to arrange my paper tickets the helpful lady explained to me that once she issued the paper easy ticket if my card did subsequently show up I would not be able to use it at the game...

...I am guessing that what they do is cancel the card's validity for the game and assign a paper easy ticket... that way you can't get two people in only having purchased one ticket... which is fair enough. I guess what the person you spoke to did was reverse that change, i.e. cancel the paper ticket and re-issue the ticket to your card...

I geuss the message is it is one or the other - so if you have a paper ticket you can't use your card (unless you ahve got them to cacnel the paper one and reissue it to the card)...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

That is my understanding of how it works, hence the reason why, once they've actually issued the paper ticket, you have to use that one rather than your membership pass, as the paper ticket has overridden the membership pass.  Again, I got the impression this process would be part of their after-hours issue-fest.

Correct - although in my case, they didn't need to "reissue it to the card" as they had not yet issued the paper ticket to override the card.

Looks like I might be OK for foundation member lounge access on Sunday, even though my membership pass doesn't appear to be a foundation member one.  Just received this in my "In The Nix" email:

Wristband access to members lounges

Security wristbands are required to access the Phoenix Lounge (Level 2 Corporate Lounge entrance) for both Phoenix Lounge and Foundation Club members. Wristbands will be available for collection from Westpac Stadium this Sunday on game day following gates open at 3.30pm. The yellow booth just inside the turnstiles will be available for members to pick up their wristbands.

You will have to present your membership card as proof of identity to receive your wristband allocation for the season. If you have not received your 2011/12 membership card just bring your drivers licence or passport so that we can identify you. Please be aware that wristbands can be issued only once - like cash, if they are lost they cannot be replaced.

IMPORTANT: to ensure that you do not miss the start of the game (4.30pm) please make sure that you allow plenty of time to collect your wristbands before entering the lounge and/or going to your seats. For safety reasons, entry to the Phoenix Lounge may be restricted (except for Phoenix Lounge members who have guaranteed access) if the maximum number of people permitted in that room is reached. If members wish to watch the game from a seat they must return to their allocated seating, members will not be permitted to stand on the Phoenix Lounge walkway.

WTF?

What was the outcome?

Fairly surprising that in the FAQs on the membership page there is no "what if I have purchased my ticket after the deadline? How do I get into the game?". I am still none the wiser and don't see why I should have to phone them - those idiots should be the ones making arrangements.

firstly, can i say this thread has been excellent, i never called ticketek until this afternoon as i just followed you guys' updates and kept checking my letterbox. Nice work

spoke to brenda at ticketek this afternoon

she said she had just spoken to the supplier and they'd said they'd finished the backlog today, with the final 500 being couriered overnight, set for delivery in the morn

she told me to wait until tomorrow afternoon, and then ring up if i dont have it

Let's hope that Ticketek's 'Honest, it's in the post' line is more realistic than Terry's, eh?

mine did not arrive so called them on 384 2457, waited 15 minutes and finally got through to someone who emailed me a ticket to print this morning. She reckoned that my ticket should be arriving today - to which I said I don't trust Ticketek enough to not get a papwer ticket. - she understood
