Most games are the only games on the Sunday, so have been pushed later for the Aussie TV audience.

No one attends them in Wellington. The club has to make money. Bring more friends to the game if you don't like
Hash, but true reality
Bullshit, they sure would have made a  shit load of money last season taking games away.NOT Just maybe if they did some marketing and gave away the tickets in Wellington they do when they take them away it just might help with crowds.

Then again given the draw we have this season it seems we dont want crowds anyway.

Then they will whine about our stadium being empty.
Draw sure makes it look like they want us to look even worse. Can just see the comments already and god forbid if Ernie cant turn them around its just a recipe for disaster.

I wasn't expected us to get everything we wanted, but I didn't think it would have been this bad. Some of it is self-inflicted by the club, the fact we only have 10 games at Westpac is down to them.

And that first game we will be missing all whites. So we don't get to see an actual Phoenix side play until round 8. 2 months into the season.

All those away games early as well before we've had a chance to re-engage and prove things have turned around is a recipe for disaster.  Allowing for the percentage drop between the first two Auckland games and the Chrischurch games we'd expect about 8k in Auckland and around 10k in Christchurch... if we don't have an additional drop adfter last season.

Hope both are free to stage...

Just read this who is he trying to bloody kid, pleased with the result the man needs to wake up to him self. Not sure why he has to try and kisss their butts so much.

So after consultation we have one home game in the first 8 rounds that sounds like a bloody good idea should do wonders for season pass sales.Give yourself a smack Dome.

General Manager David Dome is pleased with the result of what has been a collaborative process with the FFA and Australian broadcaster Fox Sports.

“This is a complex draw with a number of pressures on it. We have listened to fan feedback on their support of the Wellington home base and preference for Saturday games, and so are delighted to be able to act on these.

Really surprising we got the worst of the draw, I mean...
  1. Lowest Average Crowd attendance
  2. Lowest Average TV Viewership
  3. Bottom of the League
  4. Second Lowest Goals for
  5. Second Highest Goals Against
  6. In the bottom four of the league for 20 of the 27 weeks
  7. Only 1 player in the top 25 goal scorers
  8. Lowest Crowd of the Season
  9. Lowest Season High Crowd
  10. Lowest Average Crowd
Hard to see why we were down the "wish list granted" pecking order

First year since season one I wont be buying a season ticket. Reckon a lot of people may now delay buying their season tickets, so a poor start could see numbers drop dramatically . . . Might have been different if the two January games were scheduled to be on the road. In the past Ive bought season tickets knowing that I'd be away during the summer holiday period. Wont be happening now.

In understand your point Jeff, but my main issue with the draw is the decision to take the Round 3 and 5 games away from Wellington. 10 games in Welly is far too few, and three games away is too many. The club caused this themselves by choosing to take their own games away from Welly in Rounds 3 and 5.

So after listening to fans that they want saturday games we get 3 on a saturday, where as last season we had 4.With the one against the Jets moved to midweek.

So  we get 1 less saturday game and some sunday games moved to 7 kick off.Bloody hell can someone at the club get Dome to stop negotiating things.

2 rounds out of wgtn is understandable in growing the broader fan base and maybe get fly in spectators from other regions. I'm sure the season ticket price will reflect the 10 games in town.

Yes I agree that is a bit odd but will it build anticipation in the average punter if we win those away games meaning bigger crowds when we get back (clutching at straws I know) ? Kind of show wellington this is what you are missing?

Understand that but what he said was  "We have listened to fan feedback on their support of the Wellington home base and preference for Saturday games" Which dosnt stack up with what we actually have.

Pfffft. Shit draw. Worst ever actually.

But whatever, first world problems.

I'll buy a season pass anyway and still go to the 'away' home games. Bit expensive though. Easily triples or quadruples (maybe more) the cost of watching your team play at 'home', over the basic cost of a season pass (each away trip costing at least a couple of hundred dollars).

Terrible draw for kids too. I'll be buying 2 kids season passes as well but fuck knows how many games they'll actually be able to go to.

Sounds like the Saturday/Sunday debacle was completely out of the clubs hands. Not much the club can do when FFA/Fox aren't listening.
