Krishna A-League Golden boot........you heard it here first.

I think Krishna has all the attributes to be successful at A-League level. For those who have judged him on his ASb career just remember that there are plenty of players who up their game significantly when they go from amateur to training daily in a Pro setup with proper support. I reckon Krishna will have a great season.

End of season I'll give you 20 bucks for every goal he scores above 10 if you give me 20 bucks for the diff between what he does score and 10 if it's lower (A-League only, incl play-offs).

Including play-offs is very generous considering Golden Boot is calculated in season only.

I'm not known for generosity. But I reckon I know how A-League defenders will deal to Roy.

Stepping away from the traditional forum betting currencies of NUFC's balls, or the loser having to take time off, and entering the world of actual money. Sh*t is getting real!

10 goals isn't really very generous at all as the pivot, especially when he is unlikely to be the penalty taker. We don't even know if he will be in the starting lineup. Last year only four players got more than 10 goals and all of them had penalties.

I do realise that. But you are not exactly putting down a strong counter argument, you are taking very little risk while there is every chance he might not even play much through injury or selection. I think 10 goals from Krishna would be pretty good and deserve some payout for backing him. Make it 7 or 8 and you might get a bite.

You shouldn't bet. If you do, then after someone is banned, it will be clear that everyone was wrong, and then a solar flare will mean that three months later Carlsberg tastes good.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Would you put NUFC's balls on that?

This season should hopefully look a lot different to last years attack wise.

We have strengthened our midfield considerably, this alone will create more chances for us, not to mention our entire midfield appear capable of getting forward and have a good passing range.

For Boyd and Krishna this year could be huge.

Brockie needs to find some speed asap.

Hey Guys,

Have spoken to Newcastle Jets and they are happy to have Phoenix members along to the game as well. If you plan on attending please send the Nix Facebook page a direct message so I can let the Jets know how many to expect.

Cheers

I am expecting something like this for the season

Moss

Muscat Sigmund Durante Doyle

Bonevacia Reira

Gorrin

Burns                   McGlinchey

Krishna

bench of boxall, brockie, boyd, fenton, Cunningham (4 of 5) and Italiano

and reserves made up of Lia, Ridenton, Rufer, Ciaria, JBS and Hicks

- Seems very harsh on the player who misses out on the bench. I think this has to be the strongest depth our club has ever had. I feel a bit sorry for Lia and Hicks etc. But i cannot see them playing without major injuries
