Not gonna get my hopes up until I see how we go against the mighty ACFC.

Encouraging signs. Three wins, 11 goals, and the youngsters getting playing time.

Bring on the season proper!

While in 98% of cases te keeper dives, that doesn't mean that the middle of the goal is open to be scored through 98% of the time. Keepers with trailing legs can still stop penalties.

Also 46 + 42 = 88 not 98%

Italiano seems to be playing quite well right now.  Putting pressure on Glen?

Pre-season is starting to come together, and those results were good as Sydney was pretty much full strength and we started without Rodriguez, Moss, and Sarpong.

Still, its only pre-season.

First bit of silverware ever maybe?

We won the fairplay award, and the Johnny Warren medal...

So, under a week to go before the team takes on Auckland Ciudad.

Rather exciting!

So for the start of our season, are our CBs going to be siggy, dura, lia. Flanked by manny and fenton? Or is doyle or any one else in the mix somewhere?

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but how do you get tickets to the Auckland City game?  I've bought a season ticket, but it's not arrived yet.  And I have others who do not have season tickets but want to go.  Do season ticketholders get in for free?  And re the others can you buy tickets on the gate?  The website talks about using Home and Garden Show tickets, but I can figure out how to get those either.

You pay at the gate on the day.

Call Brenda and the team on the Phoenix Members hotline on 04 384 2457. Apart from the fact that they are the best customer services phone crew ever, so it's worth ringing just to have a chat and congratulate them on the job they do, they'll sort you out.

There was an email sent out to season ticket holders on August 28th with the subject

"Phoenix Members Home & Garden Show Voucher"

It had a voucher attached which you can print which means you get 2 for 1 entry to the house and garden show. It's $8 for an adult to get in (without the voucher) so $4 each with the voucher.

If you can't find the voucher email, or you were not a season ticket holder on August 28th when they were sent out, then I am sure Brenda will be able to email you a voucher.

A Rod has played at CB against APIA Leichart (First 15 mins then subbed off in a planned substituion) and then against Sydney FC when he came on in after 64 minutes. He's comming back from injury (hence the limited game time) It's not definite, but Ernie could be looking to convert A Rod into one of the back 3 starters.

Brenda probably won't be able to send vouchers as they came from the Phoenix, not Ticketek.

Stevel - if you don't have a voucher by Friday let me know and I'll send you a copy of it.

No, both new world and countdown have 2 for 1 vouchers for the home and garden show. At least in Karori.

I also got sent a voucher from the H&G show - same one as from the Nix.

Probably because I went there last year to watch the game and filled out a form for a competition.

I have a disturbing recollection of there being no bar facilities at the Home and Gdn fixture last year.  I have emailed the Nix to ask about it ....

Anyway, forget the devil's brew, it's looking like it will be coldish on Saturday - I'm worried that the H&G Show will have fancy high falutin' nosh, not good, honest, coal face chips to warm us and the bairns up.
