I agree with what K said, we really want this to be a good time for all those who have never been to a football game. And hope (fingers crossed) that it will make them want to come to other games, and therefore uping attendance.

Exactly talk it up if your with people outside the fever zone make sure they stand up and get amongst

There were 11 free tickets given away at work this morning for the Adelaide game, they were snapped up within half an hour which is a good sign :)

yeah totally agree with the people above,

lets make the new comers welcome!! and hopefully come back to the stadium in the future, ie. increase the support for the future home games in the a-league.

I'll be at the Junior News school assembly.  Much more satisfying.  I'll be quite happy if the first time I see anything Galaxy is at half time Friday night with us 2 up.

The Red's will be missing their four main defenders so there will be a very young back line.  That said Burns and Sarkies are returning from Olyroo duty where Sarkies in particular has been in great form with some sensational crosses and free kicks.  Both teams need wins as opposed to a draw so I'm hoping it will be end to end action.  I'm predicting a goal-fest for this one which will delight the big crowd.

After much thought I renewed my rugby season tickets..yes, this is going somewhere..

Had a long talk with the woman at the ticket place (not thicketec). This was mainly around why my daughter refuses to renew her rugby season ticket -  basically because she has now experienced the whole football package, and won't go back to the boring rugby.

She (the ticket woman) then told me she was off to Saturdays game. I told her that she was going to have a blast, and to get there early and enjoy the superior atmosphere etc at the football.

Of course I asked her if she was going to Fridays game - to which she replied "what game". I had to put her right and told her to ring thicketec and ask for her tickets to the Adelaide game.

Oh, if only my finances were healthier. I'd be at both games quicker than you can say "Oh, Wellington... is won-der-ful..."

Think I might be able to scratch up enough pennies to go to the Adelaide game, which I think could be the game of the round as far as the A-League is concerned. It'd be nice for all the newbies coming along to the Beckham Spectacular the following night to head on in thinking "This team could beat Becks' boys" rather than, "Well, they were rubbish against Adelaide, for f*ck's sake. Good thing we're only here to see Beckham..." etc, etc.

These are exciting times to be a new football fan

edit: actually, here's a question - how does the A-League stand against MSL? Are the 'Nix on a hiding to nothing come Saturday night, or will they be able to foot it with Beckham and the gang?

Ok .. I bought a ticket for the Adelaide game in Aisle 21 Row A ... I asked for the best seat available in the Fever Zone and this is what the guy on Ticketek gave me, considering the last seat I had was Row M, Im guessing this is more far down the aisle, in the noisiest part of the Zone ?? Yes, right in the middle.

And the seats are blocked in theory (though I'm yet to hear of anything to the contrary).

Row A is the closest to the pitch, so it should be pretty noisy.

And yes, season ticket seats are blocked out, so you should be fine

Row NN is closet to the pitch. Row A is first one up from the entry place. Smack in the middle.

Pardon the n00b question, but are walkup tickets still going to be available at the Adelaide game?

My friend and I have free tix, but my brother wants to come and hasn't got any joy through Ticketek...
