This is a great point. I also like that he is around 28 or something and will be ambitious to suceed. And if he enjoys the league, then next season we may be able to sign another English ex tranmere player. Its not bad for the club at all.

Seen Chris Shuker after the game. Had no idea how small he was. Although they did get very little game time, Pavlovic seems pretty decent and Toto's first touch was bloody magic but that was about it from him. Magno Veira shouldn't be signed. Pavlovic should.

Yeah Viera is off to some small club in England. I think he got the message that we can only have two more imports and Ricki said he was more than likely signing Toto and Shuker

Cosimo, what game were you watching? Daniel comes on, takes a free kick - Durante scores. a few minutes later, Daniel crosses at speed and everyone including Greenacre misses the ball by inches that would and should have been put away. A few minutes after that Daniel crosses this time from the left and forces their keeper to pull off a one handed save thus denying our forwards again. Daniel actually had a pretty good half. His crossing is much better than someone like Ifill who managed to bean their players marking him, than getting crosses into the box.

Shuker is rated 64 on fifa 10. Pretty decent compared to Brown 61, Lia 59.

And play 4 in the midfield with one the hole, cause I score heaps on Fifa with the nix in that formation.

But don't sign Fabio Contreao he's only in the 50's when you play him at left back for Portugal

Obviously fifa ratings mean nothing!!

But it's an interesting way to look at new signings who not everyone knows about.

But doesn't Peverley live in Wellington? If they bring in local teenagers to train you'd think the best young player in the city would be there too?.

he lives wherever he can play. He's not a Wellingtonian. And he's 22 not a teenager. He is on trial.

No.  Shuker, Toto and Davani aren't.

Nor are Gourdie or Steven Stuart from the TV companies.

McPeake was 2nd to Marco in last years Scholarship, Spragg and Tristan are this years winners, Corey is an NZ U17 and U20 player and Pavlovich is an Aus candidate for an U20 spot.

Tim Brown said on radiosport last night that he really liked the look of Corey. He was asked about new signings and this kids name came up. He also rates Peverley. So it was interesting that he mentioned two kiwi guys first but also replied "I didn't even know he was coming" when asked about Toto. Also said that Shuker has a good pedigree and it was Greenie who mentioned him to Ricki. (Already knew that)

I just heard the news from Indonesian Football Forum that 2 Indonesian players , Indonesian Iinternational Forward "Bambang Pamungkas" and young Indonesian  U-23 Forward "Yongki Ariwibowo" will have a trial next week in Wellington. Can anyone confirm this rumour?
