I don't know if this has been mentioned and can't be bothered looking back through all the "What the black!!" angst.
Heard on the radio today that as Manny is out (best wishes to you and your growing family!) Lindsay will make his first appearance for the Nix.
I'm a bit confused about that, he can play RB or DM but it seems a little weird that he would be selected above Lia or Smith in either of those positions. Ricki isn't usually one to make changes to his defensive line up during games and its not his first appearance on the bench (is it?)
Surely the radio wouldn't bother to mention bench role?

A bit nervous at throwing Lindsay in at RB for his first game. No recent game time, not natural position, making debut and Heart will know it so deliberately attack him more. Still on the plus side he has Siggy inside him. I would definately bring Bertos back as his defensive efforts are signficantly better than Ward. I have wanted to see Lindsay though so am excited despite thinking it's not the best way to start him.

you know what I'm getting sick of, every season the aussie media picking us as cellar dweelers - we haven't finished last in the league for 3 years! 4th,6th and now 3rd - unlikely we'll be anywehere near the bottom. It's time for the aussies to realise we mean business and are going to win the league sooner rather than later.

Agreed, I'm so stoked to be where we are, In the pre-season I was starting to feel like we would be left behind by other clubs, with the big name signings and recruitment like Perth's I wasn't sure our squad would be as competitive this season. Boy was I wrong!
I guess stability and consistency count for something within a squad.
Phoenix to come second and beat central coast for home grand final and beat central coast again to win said grand final!

Or would we have to not only win that but also have the remaining finalist beat Central coast in order to have a home grand final?
