Mate, the Nix in disarray is a cake walk compared to what we've been through in the past 10 years.

I hate to speculate in this way as it is plainly unfair to the man, but from the above summary of his recent assignments - 

Is it just possible that Rado is a classic example of a head coach trapped in the body of an assistant coach?

One of those cases when one is afraid of making the final step.

WSW just sacked their assistant. Wonder if Rado and. Dario will pop up there

I understand it is Hayden Foxe that resigned  and not WSW sacking him.  A case of an assistant coach being gutted at not being given a crack at the top job, and a frustration at Gombau's ideas that don't work, at the moment.

Well written, its pretty clear that at the moment that the coach doesn't have the players he would have picked to run his style of game. Maybe the management made that call but hopefully he can pick up a couple of good players that he wants to work with in the xfr window.

Morrison NEEDS to read the posts. All his answers lay here. Plenty have offered intelligent solutions and these are from people whom have loved football for some years, they are not accountants.

Not sure that Morrison reading the posts in the answer. Our issues with the stadium experience were heard and changed - and is still being improved - however changing the players/coach and style of play maybe a different matter.

It needs to be improved a bit more too. I'd start with dumping the prematch music. It's kinda nice listening to the hussel and bussel and more and more fans come in with the air of excitement etc. 

And for haltime entertainment, why dont they show film trailers on the big screens for up and coming flicks. It has to be better than what we saw at the last game. As someone said, two football keen brothers versus two mums and daughters was not a fair contest.

I wasn't there and didn't see the context but it sounds very sexy and kinky marketing 

Half time competitions are all very well to give someone the chance to win something, but "entertainment" they aren't and most of us would rather take a piss . This is the time for some big screen advertising or music, most of us will be queing for a beer, piss or to wash our hands in any case.

I don't mind listening to hussel and bussel but surely we could better than krautrock?

Early Nostradamus 2018 coaching prediction: Kalezic will leave after we win the wooden spoon (welnix being too nice to sack him prior). He will cite “lack of professionalism” and “lack of ambition/resources” from the owners. Forum meltdown follows, with media “crisis at the nix” and Aussie calls for license to be sold. 

Meanwhile Hudson will be found not to be the next Bielsa/Jose/Pep and will depart Colorado around April, claiming he’s fallen in love with NZ and his work is not yet done. One thing will lead to another, with Anthony’s PowerPoint presentation winning the worldwide search, highlighting key Bullet Points...

• he knows the NZ football environment
• promises to develop a team of kiwi professionals who can compete at the top levels of the A league
• will turn the nix into a “development pipeline” and “selling club” with the likes of Colvey, Tuiloma, Lewis, Singh, Boyd(!) and of course Dyer

This thread will be renamed Anthony’s Young Kiwi Guns & Hudson’s Yellow Army; and the licence renewal will be forever and inextricably tied to Hudson’s success or otherwise, prompting interminable, unremitting forum angst.

I've been waiting for #DarijeOut to start trending, and it did last night.

I have to concede, our style is not attractive to watch. It was a game we really should of won last night and I don't think the loss was down to the coach [although they are always in the firing line for losses]. I'm not certain that the club has lost patience yet, I'd think Darije has convinced them the team was rotten and they are supporting him in removing that. Whether or not he either gets the right people in/out and/or the club spends the right money - will determine  [in my mind] whether he should stay or get the sack.

None of us will be happy with what we are being dished up at the moment but I think there has to be a clean out somewhere because we keep getting the poor results year after year. If changing the playing personnel doesn't work then the owners will have to look at coach and management if they are serious about turning this club around. It actually makes me sad.

I did wonder during the game if we would have been better choosing Rado over Darje, there was such a contrast between this game and the last time we played city.

But Darje addressed that in the conference and he was convinced that this was the best way to beat city.

And on the balance of chances you can't say he was wrong, that game should have been two or three zip.

The fact that the second time we played them was so drastically different from the first shows that he's tactically flexible and has a better grasp of the game than some of our previous coaches.

His man management seems suspect but people have been crying out for a tough coach and that's what we've got.

This season is a write off and I'm happy to see how he builds for next.

If there is one. I know theoretically there are 2 seasons of licence left, but this year has build up such disgust even among hard core fans that not only Darije but Welnix might pull the plug.

At the risk of sounding too 'glass half full', they might also give Darije the support he needs and stump up the cash for him to get rid of some underperforming players and bring in new blood to revitalize the club. Personally, I prefer my scenario. And I suspect most fans would, too.
And if the A-League does break away from FFA in the near future, I suspect the Nix will be one club that the other owners will want to hang on to. Financially sound and well run, despite the current hiccups. :)
