Doesn't sound like Greenacre is an assistant. Might be a video analysis + other job?

The club would also like to take this opportunity to confirm that Chris Greenacre will be continuing with Phoenix, and is currently assisting training with the first team. Wellington Phoenix will announce a new goalkeeping coach to replace Buckingham later this week as they finalise restructuring the coaching department following the appointment of head coach Darije Kalezić and assistant coach Rado Vidošić.

Fairly hefty demotion if that's the case. Greenie is obviously a top bloke to still be involved.

He's recognised his own limitations (as per last season) and is keen to learn under new gaffer. Good on Greenie and I wish him well.  Rado Vidosic also took a similar path himself so is hopefully likely to mentor Greenie.

I heard he was demoted because he didnt want to change his surname to Greenašić

That explains why we will not get to see Buckinghamić next season.

Interesting that he says that he wants to bring in a 3rd young goalkeeper.

well, there needs to be a third keeper at the club... If either of the two get injured (highly likely to occur during the season at some point) we don't want to leave the GK spot on the bench empty...

Highly likely's a bit of a stretch. It's incredibly rare both your primaryand secondary keeper get injured. It's definitely worth having a 3rd, but you'd be pressed to point out where the 3rd has been required (frequently) from well known teams.

he said either of the two. You then need a third keeper to sit on bench

Ah he did too. My apologies

His recent history does not suggest a penchant for stickng around for a long time.

How long before it is Darijee out ?

Do you mean until he quits or he becomes the scapegoat? If one doesn't happen, the other will.

So, what’s the YF consensus on Darije so far? Any of you fed up already? Personally I’m happy to wait it out until next season, as are 99% of Nix supporters (obvious, really) but are any of you pissed with him or how he’s handled things? Think he’s very professional and a lot better than Hudson

Personally his performance isn't too much of a concern for me as yet. I think he has identified a few failings in the team that we all kind of agree with anyway. With English as his 2nd [or even 3rd or 4th] language his comments might come across a little different than we are used to but I think his meaning is pretty clear. Let's face it, he got rid of Finkler pretty quickly and not many would disagree with that decision. He needs more time to stamp his mark on the team and attract a few more of his own signings.

So true and the style he had us playing in the first half of that first game was excellent. No issues with him, just have issues with the players and their ability (or lack of) to follow and perservere with his instructions instead of reverting to last seasons tactics.

He (and Rado) also seem to come in with a plan, for the first time that I can remember there seemed to be a strategy around recruitment. Everything seems systematic and well thought out. He also offers more insight into what went wrong in the game and around strategy in the post match press conference than the other coaches do.

I'm looking forward to the next time they play Sydney and this secret plan that he has.

The real question is how long before the players are all on board with the plan, and whether there will have to be more sackings / retirements first.

DK seems to be far more willing to say what he thinks. Ernie often avoided saying what he thought, saying it was up to the players to hold themselves accountable for things.

I hope he stays the course, We need some consistency at the helm and DK needs a chance to build the team with the players he wants. He has the jan window to bring in a replacement for Finkler (in whatever position he needs) and then next season to add to the squad as required.

There have been a couple of games this year when I think the strategy has been wrong, or we haven't executed, but generally in each game the team has looked like they have gone out with a clear plan of what they are trying to do.  I don't think he's quite got the players yet to play the structured game he wants to play but I think the issues we have had so far are more down to the players than the coaching

Do not know about sackings, but I am sure there will be at least one retirement at the end of this season.

Sceptical. "Covert Agent" has a reputation for being very wrong a lot of the time. They claimed FFA are about to announce a second division a couple of weeks ago.

That was based on an actual plan though wasn't it? I recall following some link to the organisation that outlined their plan. What I'm getting at here is not so much whether or not the announcement was made but that this Covert Agent was reporting something that was vaguely in discussion.

Any substance to this at all?

Hard to know if this is legit.

However would be surprised if there has not  been some fallout in the staff and players considering how much pressure everyone is under.

So once again ferkin rumours about player factions at the Nix.  Maybe if some of them put as much effort into trying to win games then we wouldn't be were we are.....one again at the arse end of the table.

Well, at least Darje is doing something, the last thing you can say is that he's Vapid.

Dario is going to be a good signing for another team in January.

Well I guess if the camp is divided between Rado's guys and Darije's guys that may explain some of the performances we have put out.

This all comes back to poor management of the club. Why did we hire two people at such a crucial time for the club that couldn't last two minutes working together.

Why? Dario's a decent player. He's been one of our better performers this season. Of course he'll be a good signing.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

“We’ve put tremendous work this season into progressing the culture at this football club and the players and staff have bought into this. “We are confident this unity of vision and purpose hold us in good stead to improve performances.”

Empty rhetoric. Where is there any evidence of this?

Only if his Dad gets a job at the club too!

Time for the club to front up with some real evidence of how the club is moving forward. New coach signed with great promise of change and success, yet nothing has changed instead we have players not showing any desire to play the way the coach wants, we have our marquee leaving, now one of our better players leaving (albeit injured) along with the asst coach! WTF!!!! All this infront of an FFA which clearly wants us gone and using a biased metrics system as a measuring stick! At this rate I'll be surprised if we managed to see our 15th year in the A-league
