Be careful what you wish for. The club is clearly in a mess right now. But do we really want this to be the end of the Phoenix and ultimately professional football in NZ?

Not sure we'll have much say in the matter either way. The A-League is facing reducing fans attending games across the board, us being as poor as we are is not helping with this. If our management continue to sit back and let shark happen we will be forced out no questions asked. The writing is on the wall and right now is doesn't appear as though Dome and co have any idea how to solve the problem (or what the problem is)

I just want to know if Rob Morrison, over all this time, has acquired any sort of fondness for the "beautiful game"

His lack of fondness for the game could well be part of the "lack of care" he's shown over the years.

Time for the club to front up with some real evidence of how the club is moving forward. New coach signed with great promise of change and success, yet nothing has changed instead we have players not showing any desire to play the way the coach wants, we have our marquee leaving, now one of our better players leaving (albeit injured) along with the asst coach! WTF!!!! All this infront of an FFA which clearly wants us gone and using a biased metrics system as a measuring stick! At this rate I'll be surprised if we managed to see our 15th year in the A-league

Isn't taking decisive action like this evidence?

What a fudgeing disaster.  Not much more you can say other than this is more evidence that our off field leadership/decision making is not functioning

Bad decision making will kill this club quicker than the FFA will

Time for Dome to go! There needs a GM who actually knows what they are doing, Dome has proved he doesn't.

If he didn't care he would have left - there is no incentive to own this football team (or pretty much any football team for that matter) without having passion for it. There is something not quite right but I don't think it's from a lack of trying.

So who out of Rado and Darje was team Smith and who was team Italiano?  Guess we will find out on Saturday

I did think at the time that these two were announced that it felt like we'd appointed two managers - maybe conflict was inevitable

When Darje started here he talked about being a poorer team, etc. he also talked about losing All Whites and all the problems with travel so it's clear he knew vaguely what he was getting himself in for. That quote was about a team that promised him a lot of money that never eventuated.

Still, he does go through clubs, the general consensus when he started was that he was pretty demanding and fell out with team management.

To be honest I think the team needs an arsehole in charge, but maybe two opinionated and stubborn coaches was too much.

Rumor going around is Darje told the team that anyone who isn't buying into his system will be released no matter who they are.

And here I am, looking at bringing my 6 year old to the game on Saturday, how do I explain this to him? beware, kids are smarter than they let on sometimes.

Dario was injured, so wouldn't have been playing anyway - kids don't really care about who's on the bench

Just tell him this is what football life's like - he has to learn sooner or later, I mean if he follows you his other team will be QPR ;-)

I hope Kalezic is  very good coach. Or things may get very messy. Considering his record he seems to have quite a high opinion of himself. He and Hudson should get along.

Rado and Darije got into a fight, they still love each other but they just need some time. Everything will be okay :)

I'm as yet unclear whether Darje is a good coach but it feels to me that we need a group who buy into him 100% given he wants to play a pretty organised and disciplined game

Im more worried about how I explain this to myself and continue to justify buying merchandise and season passes when the club is yet to really show it means business since being handed the 4+4+2 deal.

For me the worst part about all of this is the complete lack of communication - fans get told absolutely nothing apart from a complete BS press release.  Someone needs to go and front up either on or off the record and brief the press about what went on here cause the lack of engagement is staggering

Club's communication was just as poor then.  They clearly feel no responsibility to keep the fans up to date.  Morrison won't even speak to the media
