lol.....I only asked if he was invited, no presumption of him coming, although it would give us something to throw cold chips at if he did venture from his digs in Thorndon to get near his electorate!

Just called the Phoenix office to give payment details for extra ticket.

They said they're working through the second batch of requests at the moment, so people should start seeing tickets arrive over the next week.

I requested mine on 16/12 and I'm in the second batch if you want a rough timeline.

Permalink Permalink

I also got a reply from them asking if I had received mine yet  and saying there were some issues with Ticket Direct not sending a batch before Xmas which were sent out last night.

I've  heard he might attend but only if we call it the Trevor Mallard Stadium. Oh no, that's  right, it was only if they called the proposed Auckland waterfront stadium after him that they would have gotten the money.

So glad they didn't build that, by the way. It would have had all the problems of both the RoF and Eden Park - i.e. too big, no atmosphere, probably too long to get chips - and it would have ruined the waterfront for something barely used.

Totally agree but he really showed his ego with that proposal that the money would be available for the stadium with certain conditions attached.

Disagree. We have 2.5 complete dogs breakfasts now. We could have done just 1, sold the land at Mt Smart and Eden Park, rationalised the others and left North Harbour for the Shore folk.. If you want a complete waste of a stadium, look no further than NHS.

The time to build a city stadium in Auckland was the 90s. The then derelict ground from the old railway station to Quay St was proposed as an ideal area to build a central stadium but there was never any momentum from public or private money to build it. However, if they'd built an innercity stadium at that time, it would have been a dual-purpose cricket/football ground.

and then they could have built a transport system that connected to it.

or just waited for 20+years and then build a good central station without a functioning rail network. As if!

Yes, perfect positioning - railways, motorways, close to town. Was privately owned by Auckland Rugby League who sold it off for commercial and residential [i think]. Right next to Stanley Street Tennis Stadium and the Domain, could of been our MCG/Sydney Olympic Park complex.

I received my tickets last night.
From e-mail conversations with Phoenix Marketing regarding the provision of tickets to season ticket holders for games at Hutt Rec, it is obvious that they have had an unexpectedly difficult workload over the Christmas/New Year Holiday
Big shout out to the Phoenix Marketing Team in appreciation of their efforts to get tickets to their core supporters

Just got the "If you ordered your tickets before Christmas, please check your emails as they have been processed" message and I don't have an email :(

Anyone else is the same boat? Have emailed NixHQ and assume that "processed" is the same as issued?

I can tell that I'm going to forget to bring along my printed ticket. We should definitely organise a printer at the prematch pub to print out the tickets for those who forgot to bring them along.

I think it's mainly retirement apartments now.

There is no Pax. Pax is a Ticketek thing. The tickets for the Hutt Rec are being done by Ticketmaster. They don't have Pax numbers.
