I understand all this hype about 'newbies' or 'tourists' etc getting tickets in the zone. however, I think that giving season members the chance to buy 4 tickets each is a pretty smart move. Because let's face it. You have to be pretty dedicated to buy a season pass in the first place. you're dedicated = you buy a ticket for the final. you can buy 4 tickets and you're dedicated = you bring 3 mates with you.

5000odd members brining 3 people (four including themselves) = 20K + at the finals. Good for the Nix.

this being said, I hope that everyone gets a chance at being in the Zone. if not, they'll just have to "infect" their neighbors sitting in other aisles by starting a chant.

don't be too hasty about ticketmaster...no choice given for seating at vector arean for The Cure concert..just what is demmed "best" seats for price....maybe someone will figure out that users can put in a range of choices to get close to where they want to be...

This is what happens in Aisle 23. Would be neat if the infection spreads out across to Aisle 29/30 (it's a morgue over there usually).

hopefully the newbs will (apart from the scum that weren't checked when they faked numbers) be mates of YF types and f**king sing, and the zone wil be the loudest ever esp on the more simple/common chants

Also like the Phoenix till i die chant but it never gets much traction.

Bought mine, Stefans, Nicks, Bryns and Izaacs today. Just showed Nick and Stefans season passes and it was all go. They didn't write down the numbers or do anything like that. They also said next time if i didn't have 5 school ids I couldn't buy them as childs. Today they "let me off."

Thats terrible. To get tickets to this game,you just need to know someone with a season pass. Actually sucks for out of towners the most. But also sucks for those season members who quite rightly didnt expect so many tickets sold,and couldnt get to a computer until late (due to work etc),only to find this has happened. Sigh.

so what's the story? yesterday we were saying we'd sold 5K tickets? Now I read the article on the Nix to finish 'a dismal tenth' and it said we sold half as many.

it's important that we get as close to 20K as possible (even more if possible) for this game!

Just bought more tickets, PAX number is about 5600 on them

I think they do actually check. I got our tickets this morning plus some others. I was asked my telephone number and the salesperson obviously checked up on my membership details on the screeny computer thing she was looking at.

Only hassle was that i had to do three transactions to get all the tickets (only 4 tickets per membership).

However I also got another family pass and a concession ticket without any trouble or questions (presumably I looked kosher enough).

Anyway - we have moved over to Aisle 25 this time to give our chums a better view of the game, so hopefully someone else will appreciate our Aisle 23 seats and FZ - sing up loud so that we can join in and spread the lurv around the RoF.

Edit: PS - got mine at the TSB Arena on the waterfront. Salesperson very friendly and helpful. Said it was busy yesterday but no long queues. I was the only one there @ 10:15am.

We're always in Aisle 25 J82 and there's no problem with hearing and joining in with FZ even for a normal game! Unless its something obscure then you can always resort to la la la or whatever!

Excellent - look forward to some Aisle 25 noise (my voice is starting to come right today).

Just a note on this point, beware of the old battleaxe that works at Ticketek's MFC office.

She tried to tell me that today I could only buy 4 tickets per membership, the same as yesterday (Members only day).
She said the manager had told her that.

I showed her a copy of the 'In the Nix' email that explicitly states that members can buy 8 additional tickets per membership during the Football Family on sale period and she looked at me with a blank stare.

So if you need to buy more than 4 tickets today, I suggest taking a copy of the email along with you.

Typical Ticketek management causing grief by being as hopeless as usual.

It is confusing though. Members could buy 4 per membership during the members-only (hah!) pre-sale yesterday, as per the Nix email. Today is the Footbal Family pre-sale, during which you can buy 8 tickets per - and I have no idea how I got the Football Family status - and that email came first from the FFA and then again IIRC from the Nix.

I wouldnt worry about it at this stage, 20k should happen easy. There will be a surge tomorrow onwards and dont forget the queues of numpties 5mins before kick off

Whats the story with buying student tickets online? They say you need ID... Has anyone ever had them couriered without ID or will they check my ID on the day?

I bought a student ticket online for my mate for the CCM game and no-one carded her.

Yeah at least students are trying to further themselves for a better,more educated country  (and being worse off than a dole bludger as a result)

oh sorry not having a go at you at all haha i should have been more clear. it was that they didnt take note of your membership numbers. so to get tix on that day you just had to know someone who was a member to borrow their pass. sorry:)

Fever zone is sold out afaik.
