hearfield?
starting line up?
please, dear god, tell me your kidding.
Yeh, he gave me the jeebies too, at lot, but I thought he was less worrying every game he played at RB. Tho' still a worry, less so.
For mine he offers more for the future than North or Siggy playing there. North does look fairly tidy getting forward, but not as fast as Troy. And North has cost us as many goals at RB as Hearfield has I'd think, certainly per game played in the possy. I think you could say the same for Siggy at RB, or close to it.
I'd be happier with North and Siggy competing for CB, where both know how to play and are not exposed for pace and not being asked to play a job they are unfamiliar with.
So in hindsight I'd rather we persevere with Hearfield at RB, or sign someone who can truly play there. Troy's not the business, right now, but raw pace counts for a lot. Fix his crossing and give him more time to understand the defensive side of the position and he just might repay the investment Ricki started by playing him there. Give him time for the A team there as well.
I think it's a shame Ricki backed off from playing him at RB, because we've lost games any case, Siggy and North have hardly been any better and we've lost the chance to have hearfield maybe coming right by now.
But you make the calls and see how it works. Ricki would have hoped and maybe expected North would work well there.
Ramble ramble ... But Cboz's comment above might be the biggest argument against Hearfield figgering RB out ... lol
Jets are looking like a real challenge now, two very good results from them the last games. Hopefully they are knackered.
Go Nix!
