Here are the Heart's last ten results.  They won everything in December, but have won nothing in January.

personally I think all the "sackl Ricki" agents need to rethink their position, sure he's made some odd calls but two away wins, 3rd on the table says someone is doing something right. If the criticisms land at Ricki's feet when we struggle then credit has to go his way too,.
No! Don't use logic against them. That'll just confuse them

Its ironic cause more than a few people here think Ricki should be sacked, half our team should be dropped, we play the wrong tactics and rubbish football yet we are still 3rd after 2/3rds of the season. We have the toughest run home and I expect we will stumble. Our wins over GCU and Planes were 6 points, but they were bloody ugly. Ugly winning sides don't keep winning for very long.

All other things being equal, I would agree with you, but if our tendency to lose away was a confidence thing, then this might not be true. A couple of scrappy wins just to get the monkey off the back may be just we what we need to start playing to our potential away from home as well as in Wellington.

Not saying that the run home will be easy, or that a two-game streak means that we're a shoe-in for every game for the rest of the season, but I just think that the recent wins may add a psychological boost to the team that could be what they need to make it through the tough home stretch without dropping too far down the table.

what are all the other teams last 9 or 10 games remaining?

Still dirty we revived Perth's season with that horror show a couple of weeks ago.

Key game this week - I will say the Heart haven't been bad despite going winless in the past five. What has been disconcerting for them has been that four of those games have at home, and they have picked up 1 point out of 12.

Defensively the expected defection of Madaschi has left them very young at the back and Faulty Bolty is never a sure thing. That, and too much Hoffman.

Big losses for Heart and Ccm in particular. we play Ccm and the roar while the u23 players are away, and heart will have their best attacking weapons taken away. Certainly makes the run to the playoffs much more interesting.

victory v sidnee - result will not effect our 3rd place
GC v CCM - result will not effect, although a GC win would be ok.
Roar v noobcastle - noobcastle winning would be perfect
US v Heart - must win and we get second.
Adelaide v Glory - draw would be perfect, glory win puts pressure on us
victory v GC - draw again would be perfect.

They have games on 5th Feb (A), 22nd Feb (A) and 14th Mar (H). I am not sure if they are available between the games. If Antonis fails a medical, Amini will probably replace him. And people will be happy to hear Pavlovic missed the squad, so will be available to us.

CCM have Asian Champs League games too. They have a week from hell. play Sydney fly to China for a midweek game then fly back and play Perth all in a week. They also have a ACL game close to when they play us as well.

With ACL and clubs losing players to Olympic stuff there are going top be some very unexpected results before the seasons end. You would have to say that the Nix, even though they have a tough schedule do look more settle and in better form than many other teams.

As for Hearts recent results.....the loss of their captain and chief playmaker Fred has been devastating for them.

They haven't won a game this season, without Madaschi starting, or on the bench.

So just confirming - Behich and Dugandzic are out? Those are huge losses. Hoffman...not so much, but I still remember him scoring a couple against us for Newcastle on last seasons first game (I think) . Was livid that day. Made him look like a footballer.

What?

We won the double in 2002 playing everyone off the park.

Three for me, and two for them.

Was a couple of seasons ago, Greenacre and Ifill's first game for us. Greenacre scored.

Hmm awkward...

Seriously though, they need to develop those "Men in Black" things that wipe the last few minutes of your memory.

They would be f**king legendary for sports fans around the world and be life-changing.

Ok, its time for the Nix to kick all these other teams who have been drawing over the last 3 weeks where it hurts, by winning on Sunday.....

A draw or a loss on is unacceptable. The Phoenix must win on Sunday!

I can feel the anticipation building!

Brand New Stadium and World Class Training Facilities = $270M
Having the FFA buy you Harry Kewell = at least $10m

Watching the Tards falter at every hurdle and probably miss the finals.....

PRICELESS!

Thats right, if we truly deserve this 3rd spot, we should slam Heart this sunday! We have been given a gift by the football gods, and if we botch it, we will be in for a lot of pain till the end of the season.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Second best defence in the league in terms of goals conceded too.

Siggy, Dura and Manny have been immense. Lochy has his moments, but good too.

Should we thank Warner too?
