Yeah, what a massive relief. Was extremely nervous the last 5 minutes of that Heart-sydney game.
YYUUUUUUSSSSSSSS!!!!
Now let's see if we can sneak 3rd!
Now let's see if we can sneak 3rd!
Requires Perth to at best draw next two games and us to win next week
(or Perth to lose both games and us to get a draw or win)
C'mon Perth, do us proud.

That second Brisbane goal last night was a killer. Now CCM come here next week needing to win to guarantee the minor premiership.
The game could quite easily be a dead rubber for us, however, depending on Perth's results between now and then. We will know by the early hours of next Sunday morning whether they have 3rd locked in already.
If they get 6 or 4 points from their two remaining games then obviously we're done.
If they get 3 points it's tough for us because of their superior goal difference. We will go into the CCM game technically still in it but knowing we need to win by 3 clear goals or something stupid like that.

Remember that 4th was good enough for 2 home finals in 2010 because 3rd lost theirs. I can't see the Jest beating the LOLry at home but I could just about see it for the Jam Tards.

I don't think Newcastle, Sydney or Heart provide many fears for the Nix @ the ring of fire
(Victory on the other hand would, so glade they just lost...)

Of the 3 teams we could face, I hope we end up playing the Jets. It would need Adelaide to beat Heart and Jets to beat Sydney for that to happen.

This is assuming we are fourth, which is looking likely at the moment. Playing the Jets would be great, no just because they are woeful at Westpac but because I would think Heart and Sydney would have more of a chance at winning in Perth.

Also, profit share of gate takings for the Nix this time for their home playoff game/s.
So the more people that go, then more money for the franchise.
Mo money, more problems - but nice situation to be in...

I doubt it would be on Friday. There's a reason most of our home games were scheduled on Sunday evenings, and thats why both of our last playoffs were on Sundays.
I'm guessing the first week of Playoffs will be:
CCM vs Brisbane at Bluetongue on Friday night, 10pm our time.
Perth vs whoever at nib Stadium on Saturday night at 11.45pm or Sunday at 7pm.
Us vs whoever at Westpac on Sunday at 5pm our time.

I was making the assumption that Brisbane would finish top of the table, meaning they would be likely to have the CCM home game first. Didn't realise there was NRL and Super Rugby at Perth and Brissy though.
All 3 on Sunday could make for a fun night, although I would prefer to know the result in the Perth game before our playoff.
