My point is that we need to be amongst it... and that needs to be now. The whole "we'll click and waste some poor unfortunate pack of Aussies sooner or later" (ok, I paraphrase - lol) isn't going to cut it and we need results now... not in a months time... c'mon ppls (players, management, fans, whoever... we need RESULTS and we need them NOW!). I'm, over pretty/dominant/improving/persevering/patient/positive/moving forward... and all the rest of it lol... I don't care if we look/play/perform like crap - I just want us to score ONE GOAL more than the opposition... domake me draw parallels with another team I support!!!

(please).

If only it was 2 points for a draw we'd be looking better. Another example of Australian Football making the rules against us.

See. We're only 2 points off top place!

Seriously though, this week we saw again how close this league is. A lot of unpredicted results. Only takes any team a few wins in a row to race up into the top group. Easier said than done though...

Totally agree. We are not bad and well lots of room to improve. String a few good results together and well...

whats pur record though, 3 wins in a row? You cant be relying on that as said the league is too tight
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

With Perth now top equal on the table after a terrible game like they played vs Newcastle, it just goes to show how tight this league is.  Perth don't look threatening yet with 2 wins in a row they're up at the top of the table.  If we can string two together like they did, we'll fly up the table.

Interesting that despite our table position we're equal for the least losses in the league.

Will 19 more draws be enough to finish top 6?
ie; 27 points?

After the worst of both worlds are you?

What about zero points for nil-all draws? That would make a game get very exciting near the end when nothing's been scored - nothing to lose and three points to gain...

Yes, that much was obvious - I'm saying your 'solution' would lead to the worst of both worlds (because we'd have a crap political system and it wouldn't do jack with regards to the football). Comprehension indeed.

I am predicting a Warriors 08 type latter part to the season - things will click and we will finish up 4th or 5th - the Warriors of course made it to 8th (just) and then went on that amazing finals run last year. So we will finish up halfway in the comp, and make the playoffs.

Just hope the following season isn't so awful!

Gentlemen,

No wonder crowds are so mediocre if Gold Coast is the team setting the standards after eight completed rounds. If that's the top team in the league ... Godfathers, they were gob5#1+e!!

Cheers,

One positive, please note the top 3 teams have lost more games than us! Our goal scoring might be a problem but there are a few other teams who have also scored on;y 8! Ok, that's two positives.

I wouldn't call them positives because it doesn;'t have an effect on the team

I would rather be winning some and losing some than consistently drawing - we'd have more points if we'd won 4 and lost 5 so far...

Yup, Fury away in two weeks and then Gold Coast at home (which, if he doesn't get dropped will be Lochy's 50th Phoenix match)

We gotta put fury to the sword. We cant let them have their first win at home against us.

GCU will be a really great game. Think they might not underestimate us this time round.

Im thinking eventually the top 4 might break off and then the rest will be left to fight for the two spots
