I don't really mind if he stays or not anymore. Yes, he is an amazing player with huge potential, but if he does end up staying then I can't help but think that he would prefer to be with the Victory.

Well if the ink hasn't yet been put to paper as may be the case, we can not give up hope that the young fella tells his Dad he wants to stay.

Personally, another two years and then launch himself on europe.

This, its what every ones been saying. Hes already being noticed at the Nix and will continue to be noticed. Everyone in the A-League knows who he is.

No ACL at Melbourne next year anyway so that bigger shop window idea has gone, funnily enough, out the window.

um,if he stays surely it'd be because he prefers to be here. Why would he sign a contract here if he preferred to be somewhere else that had also offered him a contract.

Allegedly

Interesting sidenote. Talking to my mate at the Bball last night, he was pretty anti yellow fever after what he'd read in the papers about what was being said about Rojas. Tried to explain that it was only a minority making stupid comments, but to little avail.
And he is the type of guy that I've gone to games with every now and then. Not sure whether he'll be so keen anymore.
So... just pointing out that all the negativity might have had a few unintended consequences.

I think you may have been sitting behind me as I heard a conversation along those lines, unless any number of groups in the crowd were having that chat.

Would that mean Marco wakes up with two cuties? Lucky boy, talk about living the dream!!

Stick around Marco, ignore the negative remarks, instead focus on your training and of course where you are happy at in this point of your life. Stick around for two years then take on europe.

Obviously not a sports fan then. In the same circumstances, the same kind of comments would be made by supporters in any code. Some of the things said were over the top but that is always going to happen.

This whole "the comments and negativity stuff .." stuff is nonsense. Welcome to the world of professional sport, players leave clubs and supporters get pissed off about it.
