Yes,let's not get emotional as fans.
When we lose, congratulate the other team, our guys tried hard.
When a refereeing decision goes against us,they're only human.
Chris Payne handball, good on him and wish Sydney luck in the final.
Brightest talent we've ever had thinks a club who finished 1 place above us is a huge step up from our crappy club, good luck to him, glad he's made the big leagues.

I'm tempted to ask which Slash you're talking about, but, really, the headline is that you're fantasizing about me.
Pretty sure I've now passed Doloras as the most sought-after Feverite.

I find some of the comment pretty sickening, especially the poll which is totally negative.
Yes, Yellow Fever gave him a chance to trial at the Phoenix and he took that chance and became a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLER. Not a Yellow Fever or Phoenix pet.
As a professional, he has to, and would be dishonouring Yellow Fever if he didnt, follow what he believes to be the best course to further his career.
Just as Kosta did, he has decided that his football and personalfuture is better served by moving. Other players have made and will make that decision, and the club has madeand will make that decision for other players. The FFA has made that decision for a whole club and its players.
With the uncertainty over the financial future of the Phoenix, I can only agree with him and wish him the best while being sad to see him go from our club.
Marco, I hope your move is as successful as Kosta's and that both of youearn thechance to move to Europe ASAP and have long ansd successful All White careers on top..

This thread is still in the Wellington Phoenix discussion section and thus this topic should be viewed with Phoenix hat, sunglasses, stripey and scarf on. As a Phoenix supporter you should be pissed with Marco leaving:
- One of our best players is leaving the club
- He is moving to a rival club in the same competition
- The Phoenix have no chance of getting any transfer fee if Marco were to move overseas
- It does not look good that one of our best young players feels the need to further his career at a club that finished one spot higher than us

Well-wishing can take the form of denying reality. For example,
"Good luck on your loan move, Marco! Come back to us stronger & you'll be a first-team regular for sure!"

Sorry to be such a cold unemotional bastard, but we're talking about his livelihood vs our, however fanatical, pastime. I must confess my initial reaction wasn't this considered opinion.
1-2. I'm certainly disappointed that he is leaving us to join a club in the same competition but can understand, and even agree, that it is probably the best decision for his career under current circumstances - it could, on the other hand prove a disaster for him in the unlikely event he doesn't get much play - and Phoenix go on to glory.
3. Perhaps a longer term signature should have been secured earlier so a transfer fee/deal for future progress could be secured, leaving contract negotiations until the verge of release was a risky tactic on behalf of the club.
4. I agree, but this is not his fault or concern, and certainly does not deserve some of the vitriol here. I would guess that the financial doubts would have been a major consideration, especially looking at NQ.

I was over all this a fortnight ago. Time to move on.
I think, at this moment in time, as Phoenix fans we've all got a lot more to wory about than Rojas buggering off.
Did provide some great entertainment on the forum tho'!
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

This is called the Greene Manoeuvre - although he is usually the most drunk boy which makes completing the move much more of a challenge.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
