Thats kinda what I don't get. You have Boyd, who got a run last week, Ifill who says he is going to play on the left this year, yet we start an academy player in Biss, who was not good enough to get one of the two youth contracts on offer, over an import (Clarke) and the guy that got time last week (Boyd) ???

It would appear that Clarke would be a dud then.

This is getting comical. But it's not funny.

If Basalaj doesn't pass the fitness test, will he be on the bench or not in the match day squad at all? Will Gould be reserve in worst case scenario?

Or, it could be that what we need is a central midfield player as Lia goes to right back and neither Clarke or Boyd are central midfield players.

That was only a guess by an unknown AAP writer, will have to wait till tomorrow to see how they line up.

Smith & Manny (Of course I am going with us playing the same formation, it seems that talk is we will be playing 3 in the middle and 1 upfront in away games, so then it makes a little more sense), I just thought given we were short on def/midfield players that it would make sense to continue with the formation from last week.

Was going to wish you luck, despite all the horrible things you've all said about my beloved Melbourne Losetory, but after seeing that you call the fucking H***t 'Melbourne A'...well, that's the last straw. I hope they spifflicate you.

I dont believe Clarke is a "dud" from what I have seen.  We are short on defensive cover tho this week.  Plenty to offer still on attack and we will have speed on counterattacks.  COYN........he says....... in hope.

Totally disgusted. It's just not good enough...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I've just realised it's not because the Tards are Malben B, but rather that the Jam Tards are Malben "Aura".

I know. All the talk out of Greenie is that we are going over to take 3 points (which will be a mammoth task). You don't do that by taking 1 striker out of the equation.

Wait for the team sheet with starting 11. So many players step when they know that one game may make thief future

Greenie also spoke about being more professional and if a point is on offer late in the game, they should settle for that instead of pushing for the 3. In this case, playing for the point from the start might be the professional way of going about it.

Hang on.  We have one first choice back in the backline and against a midfield including Garcia and Fred we've decided to give them some experienced protection.

You'd rather we let them run riot against our rookie keeper and three Rookie backs?  Ignoring that we only have one of our first choice strikers.

it's an enormously tough ask.  the figure is 4 debuts but that ignores the fact that there were 3 debuts last week.  I think this does show we are a little unbalanced this year towards forward players in our squad though.

Given our weak attack in recent years and given that goals win matches I will forgive them for being out of balance for this game in favoiur of picking up more points than last year in the balance games.

Tadic in and Williams not in the squad at all. Great news for us. Havent seen much of Tadic, but doubt he's as fast as Williams. Also thought he was more of a CF but doubt DMac would play wide so will be interesting.

Makes me more confident
