So Reds get to play in their Red then? On our home patch?

And how can get get the players to call the Ring of Fire its proper name?

Kit wouldve looked so much better in all yellow with black sash, or all black with yellow sash.

Not a fan of the sash at all. Would have preferred just plain white if thats the way they wanted to go. I think an all yellow kit with black trim and adidas stripes would have been better. Everyone has their own opinions and taste though.

I think for a charity strip you want to go something completely different. White and ablack is plain and harly memorable. If they'd gone way of palate then it would be remembered (good or bad) but it would create a little bit of hype. We have to place some responsiobility on the players too though they chose the winner out of 800 its and some of them were well weird.

It's better than the away kit for sure but like most people I think a black kit with a yellow sash would have been better colour-wise.

I'm guessing they didn't want black as it's (kinda) already been done... it could be better but I don't mind it, it's not like they'd do anything too drastic anyway. The more people hating the cheaper they'll be - upside!!!

Not really my taste, but happy for playwithFire. First round at the Backbencher must be on him surely?

At least we haven't been told to 'White Out for the Nix'

Can only think they wanted to leave lots of room for the team to sign the shirts before putting them up for auction?

I also think they should have gone for something different. Play in a red & yellow strip since they are one-off events.

my two cents - Horrible .Nix players picked it tho so must be of some importance  or they have no fashion sense ha

They also designed the fabulous all black charridy strip last year.

To be fair, anyone could have designed last years black kit. Not a lot of imagination went into that.

I actually like the white and blue training kit better than this

last year the shirts were only signed by the player wearing the shirt, if you wanted the whole squad you had to chase the players on gameday or after training.

Obviously in the minority, but I really like the charity strip.

Could have put yellow in between the two black diagonal strpies, I guess, but apart from that, all good.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I think it's ok, but agree with some others it's more like a good away top than some special 'one off'.

Agree, but even our actual away kit is better. This one is just uninteresting.

Had about 700 entries.   Players picked the winning kit.

I'd like to have seen it with one sash being yellow, the other black on a white shirt.

As suggested earlier, my design was picked which I was stoked about!
But agree with a lot of people here who are surprised that it was picked, as even I thought I had a few better entries.

I have a feeling they presented the players with around a dozen different choices and it wouldnt surprise me if they were all very simple designs?

Anyway, Im gonna enjoy seeing them wear it - even if it is a little pathetic or unsophisticated

Absolute stoked if you designed it. Great feeling that would be to see the team play in a kit you created.

You'd probably be the first to admit that without the sash, it would have been a very simple design but so was last years. I actually thought it looked better in the flesh and the bidding on trademe has been good so far.
