Tim Brown was a genius to get the results he did with that midfield.  Roll on next game (season).

oh yes the memories . Good memories

We were outclassed as expected by a much better side - given the club ambition stretches to trying for sixth place, then we may still get there. We are unlikely to play Central Coast in the play offs as it would be a miracle if we progressed that far on current performances.

Really like what Central Coast are doing - rugby colleague in pub had to have it explained to him we were the white team. I oh so wish we were the other team.

so after tonight who needs to go ? over half the team?

Ricki, Paston, Totori, Stein , Fenton, Hogg and Ifill based on tonight. Oh, and how could I forget, Lia!

agree with you on Ricki, we need a change at the top, Paston is well passed his best, Totori has shown he's not up to a-league standard, Stein is still on contract so can't go and I think given a better setup (coach) he'll do better as will Fenton and Hogg. Lia is also passed it....Ifill is getting too slow to play wide he is at best a front man.

Where the hell is the structural discipline? Defensively we were stretched from one end of park to the other. Shambles

Who was meant to be dealing with josh rose bombing forward?

Why did nobody tell Hogg he couldn't keep giving Ibini three yards space on the ball?

Why does Herbert persist with Boyd? He's been given a million opportunities and produced zip.

I'm hoping that a positive to come out of this last 4 months of disgraceful football is that the owners will realise that some of our players just aren't up to it, and just asking for positive football from inadequate players will not bring results nor crowds.  If it gives them a kick in the arse to realise that an investment in the squad is desperately needed for next season, then something may come in the future.  If we end up at the start of next season with a similar midfield especially to what we have now, we know the owners actually don't care about the table at all.

Ricki wanted to play total football. Welnix never said to play that way.

I don't care about the style, my point is, our midfield is not capable of competing in this league.  Realistically Muscat is the only midfielder we have (when in form) that would likely start in another A-League side, and that is just not good enough, whatever style is played.

Ricki will talk tough ... unacceptable, players need to step up, etc etc ... then pick all the worst culprits for their chance to "redeem themselves" only for them to turn out another steaming turd of an away performance and then the cycle continues...

Squad should have enough depth to cover missing 2 or 3 players, every player signed should be pushing for a 1st team spot, not just 11 or 13 players.

I smell a rat - I think it is to much coincidence that we were beaten by the predicted score. I suggest their has been some match fixing ... Surely we aren't that bad a side

I think 5 years of away defeats is surely enough to prove Ricki doesn't have a clue for the most part?

Youre selfish and only interesting in yourself and not the club if you expect us to make the play offs this season, Gareth said so.

Positive for him. He was doing well tonight until he realised his teammates were utterly useless and just gave up like the rest of them already had.

With that team we have put out, 5 should be a minimum for CCM. No defence in the midfield at all.
Once again I would like to say the above. I have to ask how realistically, how can Ricki be so reckless to put out this team. Swiss cheese has less holes. It should have been Smith in playing some sort of DM role along side Lia and plug it up, not try to play 5 up front

Ricky can blame who he likes. Yeah the owners may well keep him on. But they will have no-one at games next season if they do. Herbert's simply out of his depth, and sadly tonight, that's how players react when they have no idea what their coach is on about.

Apparently the Nix are going to be invested by FIFA's match fixing panel.....they want to know why such a mega talented side keeps throwing matches!...it has to be bribery!

Answer this question.....how many football coaches globally would keep their jobs after a season like this?

add to that our mushroom of a coach and you get a 'lucky' 0-5 defeat

Central Coast are a class act - we're not currently top four material but it is still a scrap on at the bottom end of the table to get into the top six. A good manager would get more from our existing squad, I reckon if we had Arnold we'd have quite a few more points and would be comfortably in top four.

One - his name is Ricki Herbert, apparently the only coach in a country of 4.5million people.

ok so lets all blame the coach, no wait it's Gareth's fault. Frankly I don't buy it all....the players have to take some responsibility for the lack of effort and passion out there tonight. None of them looked interested and frankly this has been the case for a number of away games. It's almost as if the are resigned to the fact that we suck away so why bother? Sure I reckon we need to change the coach, but we certainly need to shed at least 6 of the current squad and replace them with smart footballers.

Allow me to smugly say I noticed this with some disquiet against Perth. Unfortunately Hogg did the almost impossible in making Ibini look brilliant.

That said, the entire team was disgraceful tonight so he shouldn't be singled out. Although I sort of am!
