Smith is defensively sound, good in the air and passes well....I rate him.  But Lia must be doing what Ricki wants..not sure what that is tho as he hasnt broken up many attacks

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Yeah but the defense is sailing pretty close to the wind, but you are right business as usual with our midfield

Leo has been very Silent.

Lochhead should probably push ahead of Bertos instead..Seems more dangerous on attack. lol

El Grap covered it about 2-3 weeks ago that they have about 2-3 seconds to decide whether or not to apply advantage. Then they either do call it or give the foul. If you are talking about the foul by Leo, what advantage do you get when the ball was going out and the player was stymied enough to stop him getting there when he would have done so had Leo not got him.

From what I can see fifa says it is 2 seconds max, in this case it was longer and the other week against Brisbane it was about 10 secs at least so it would be good for refs to be consistent.
Agree. I think referees ultimately need to look at it from a perspective of 'does the player fouled actually get an advantage or is he better served getting a free kick'. The amount of free kick specialists in the game like David Beckham, you would suspect within 30y of goal, they would want the free kick.

How? Cazarine has been allowed to drift between Durante and SigmUnd at will.....

Once. We haven't conceded a goal yet, and we have made some great covering tackles

I count 3 but nevermind. At the moment its 0 but the overriding opinion is that we are hanging on rather than asscerting

My thoughts as well, I would prefer they blow up straight away like in the old days. In this case you could see the player was off balance staight away so playing advantage was pointless.

Its not pointless if he beats his man though. Sometimes giving those free kicks allows the defence time to reset. Some teams would prefer to keep playing so as not to have to set up against 10 defenders vs catching teams back tracking. Its all relative I guess but I think we kinda agree.

That's quite a valid point. How often do you see a toe poke? I guess good players know how to take techniques which are coached out of kids to use them when necessary. Wish he had slotted it though.

I'm sure it's been covered elsewhere, but what are the wee patches that Sydney players wear? They can'll be bad shavers, or did Norman Gunston die?

I know, I know, its serious!

Cheating f**king scum Bling. Jamieson goes down screaming when he wasn't touched then gets up fine when he sees he is not getting the free kick.

What kids would pay to be able to take free kicks like that. As much as its a Bling player, it looked beautiful until the last 2m

Paston is playing well.

I hate how there's no mention of how ugly Sydney's corner tactics are. Who cares if they have more possession, they don't deserve to equal, let alone ahead when their attacks are the football equivalent of a battering ram.

Uh... what? They have been smashing us for most of the game and are unlucky to be a goal down. This is a robbers job.

Had he actually touched it, as he should've, it probably would have been a goal.
