What's the vibe in Wellington this week? Are lots of people talking about the Nix? Expecting a significantly larger crowd than usual?

Wish I was there.

tbh haven't heard more than usual?

Very good.

I know people at school who haven't been to games that are going now, mediocre followers of the Nix are now mega pumped for the game.

Have to say, for it being our last home game of the season and with a home semi berth on the line, I haven't seen/heard a lot of advertising for it. As quote says, no more than usual.

But the fact that a home semi is on the line, finals place secured, (hopefully) nice weather - word of mouth will pull through?

I think all of one of my office is going on Friday after my constant chattering about the Nix. I'm surprised that they haven't punched me in the head yet the amount of times I've mentioned Friday. But I have been secretly noticing them going to the ticketek website to check out prices.

I spoke to the bloke in the Nix shop at lunchtime,  he was expecting 10,000 - 12,000 for Fridays game. But 20,000+ for home play off.

I hope those extra 8000 decide to go to this Fridays game, and boost the numbers and the team, because there is a chance we wont get a play off game

If we do win, they would get a double treat

I would be nervous about this game anyway - we have so much to gain and they have nothing to lose - CCM with youngsters who will be going for it in one of their rare chances to play a first team game.

We (crowd) need to intimidate the sh*t out of them and the Nix need to go for it hard from the get go and give them no chance to settle.

Big crowd, huge noise.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Does that represent ticket sales?

I read this was an initiative that the Phoenix, WCC, and the stadium came up with.  So in the event of it bringing in a big crowd but still not breaking even due to all the obnoxious children, Terry wouldn't bear all of the financial brunt would he? loyalgunner2010-02-10 18:50:31
